Baby Jogger City Select Stroller & City Select Car Seat
The City Select 2 Stroller Eco Collection is a versatile stroller that can be used for multiple purposes. It can be converted from a single stroller to double buggy 3 wheels strollers by adding a second seat (sold separately) or glider board. The City Select 2 Stroller Eco Collection can be set up into a triple-travel system with the addition of an infant car seat. It offers 24 configurations in total and is the most highly rated stroller. This model uses Baby Jogger's breathable, soft TENCEL fabrics that help with thermal regulation and are sustainable sources. It comes with a premium leatherette handlebar and bumper bar, and comes with an abdominal bar. It's 20% smaller and lighter than the top single-to-double stroller on the market, the UPPAbaby V2.
It features a medium-sized shade and an open-air window with a magnet, which is easy to open or close. The telescoping bar is of the most easily adjustable, and is suitable for parents of any height. The seats recline and have an adjustment button for the footwell to allow you to position your child for maximum comfort. The storage bin is roomy, but we wish it had a latch that was more secure. It's easy to reach, but we found the zippers to be somewhat frustrating as they have to be completely removed and refastened to each use.
The City Select, like its counterparts, has single-action brakes that are simple to set up and release by pulling a lever located on the frame side lower than the handlebar. It's comfortable for barefoot and sandals and is a step up from the clunky toe-pinch brake lever that a few of the competitors use.
This is the only stroller we've reviewed in our review that accepts two infant car seats making it an ideal alternative for twins, or for parents with one kiddo and a new baby on the way. It can be used to fit the majority of infant car seats made by major brands with an adapter. We tested it with Britax/BOB Chicco KeyFit 30, Graco Click Connect models, Cybex Aton and Aton Q, and Nuna Pipa.
The City Select is not compatible with the UPPAbaby Vista V2. The City Select is a great option for families that already own a car seat, but want a stroller which can accommodate it. However, you might be better served with another convertible stroller in this instance.
