World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades can be used to increase the stats of a particular item. Based on the type of upgrade you choose, it can increase the rarity of an item or mark Level, and also boost other stats.
Upgrading equipment in The War Within requires a specified number of Flightstones and Crests Each item has an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the price of the next item by a specific amount.
Item Level
The value of an item's stats base increases when it is upgraded. This is the sum of all its upgraded perks (attack, magic attack and defense). The cost of upgrading items can be high, depending on the upgrader you choose and the kind of upgrade you decide to make. This is due to the variety of perks that must be changed in order to upgrade item an Best item upgrader.
item upgrader kit level is a commonly used measure of power, and can be seen on all tooltips of items. It can also be used as a gating requirement when waiting to queue for dungeons and raids and scenarios, and to limit the amount of PvP gear a player can wear (since PvP is capped at an lower level). Players can see their average level of items on their character sheet.
When deciding whether to buy or sell gear players can look at the level of an item. It's an excellent indicator of an item's quality and the amount of damage it's capable of dealing with. The level of an item can be used to compare items when examining a vendor's inventory.
The level of the item can be checked by pressing the ALT key on your PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. The item will be displayed with its full description, including the ilvl. It can also be found by hovering over an item with the mouse cursor, and then typing /itemlevel into chat.
There are various theories about how the calculation of the item's level is made. One theory says that the item level is determined by formulas that determine the value of the stats of an item really are. It takes into consideration the fact that different perks have different worth and that gems in sockets add to the value of the item overall. This can lead to an item's ilvl which is calculated and is usually very close to Blizzard's real item level.
It's not the only factor that influences the level of an item. The location of where the item dropped can also change its stats. For example it can add a level to the item's haste, or crit rating. Items that drop in higher-level situations will have a higher value.
Item Stats
Item stats are a big component of what determines the value of an item for players. The game makes use of them in many ways to encourage players not to limit themselves to one weapon and to motivate them to try out other weapons. The stats of a base weapon are enhanced by the weapon's stat modification, which are themselves increased by the player's skill.
The upgrades to an item can increase its stats. The upgrade costs are determined by the rarity of the item. A white or grey item for instance, will only be upgraded one time, while an item with rare tiers may be upgraded several times at higher prices.
Affixes can also be used to change an item's stats. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player and are available in all sizes and shapes. Affixes can provide the item extra damage, or add a unique ability to the item (such as reviving dead or decreasing the duration of cooldowns) or make the item unique by giving an exclusive name to the item.
All affixes can be currently re-rolled by selecting them in the upgrade window, pressing the green button. This process will cost the player a certain amount of gold and other items that can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same manner as other rerolling options.
In addition to rerolling affixes, players can select which stats they want to keep on an item after it is upgraded. The possible stat ranges of an item are based on the item level, but every item is guaranteed to have at least one stat within the specified range, unless it's a unique item or an item that is a God roll from a raid boss.
Another thing that could be changed is the possibility of upgrading equipment without having to roll the attachments, or pick which stats to boost. Similar to base equipment, it must be done per item, and the item comparison interface will not show all possible stats at once.
Item Luck
The Luck stat of a player increases the chance of finding items as well as the properties created by loot and the intensity of these properties. However, it doesn't directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players the chance to upgrade their equipment earlier in the game. This is more beneficial in early game runs because players tend to put the scaling of weapons and defenses over raw damage gains.
Luck can also boost the likelihood of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chance of upgrading, which increases with each level of the item and can be further enhanced by using an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.
Armor, shields and weapons can be created or spawned using the Luck property, with an initial value of 40. These items can be improved by using golden ingots or spined leather (depending on their material type) to increase the value of 40 luck or to boost an item's existing Luck up to 140.
Certain items, such as the weapon with Hollow-infused components can also be crafted to increase the damage of any skill that causes damage by 5percent. These items are available in the shop, or they can be made using the correct ingredients.
Item Failure
Not all upgrades are successful. However, there are cash shop items that allow players to boost their success rate or prevent them from losing an item if the upgrade fails.
The rate of success of an upgrade can be seen in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the chance of completing the upgrade successfully, and can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limitations to how much the success rates can be improved, and the overall chance of a failed upgrade cannot exceed 100%..
The success of an item upgrades is also influenced by the Luck of that item. Each item has an initial success rate of 25%, and every Item Upgrader Kit that has Luck increases that chance by 5%.
It is important to note that upgrade items are rendered above the inventory items therefore enchantment glints and other effects can be masked by them. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
