WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost in certain statistics. Each upgrade increases item upgrader mod level by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

Upgraded gear generally sees more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less useful for the latter because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of weapon or armor. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your gear. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader each several weeks.

The cost of upgrades will depend on the current level of the item being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than purchasing new gear from other sources. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that are used to improve the quality of weapons and tools, armor and other items. Players can purchase them from NPCs of item level upgrade upgraders for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be applied to any weapon or tool using an The button will show the preview of an item's next upgrade level, when there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and the current item upgrades level and the weapon's price is higher than gloves or bracers, for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests that are used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree, it can be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currencies.

Upgraders for items can be found in a variety of locations on the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount as well as a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrades increases according to the number of items that are being upgraded, and can be increased by requiring players to complete specific achievements or complete quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the start, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only accessible through a variety means. This is both a benefit and a drawback.

In Season 3, many new features have been added to the upgrade system. After an upgrade has been completed to a specific level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level will cost less. This applies even if the items come from an entirely different set of gear.

The discount is applicable to all accounts. Similarly, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players achieve certain milestones in their achievements.

Crests

Players have a number of choices when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade item. Crests are more specific and are used for specific Item Level Upgrade level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system that was introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.

First, you should know that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is of a certain rank. Each rank comes with an upgrade path that is different. The simplest and easiest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade requires up to 20 crests, based on the type of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing content at the appropriate level. This could be done by engaging in outdoor activities or doing dungeons or raids in any difficulty to earn lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons with heroic difficulty to obtain endgame gear. These crests can then be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

Using these new currencies isn't too complicated, but the system introduces some changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible ilvl on all of their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another important modification is that crests have one use and it's crucial to use them wisely. For instance, it's Best item upgrader to make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the top equipment available, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you're planning to create. This is particularly true for items like trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character that will be able to benefit from the account-wide discount when all of the slots are full of high-quality gear.
