WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item upgrader mod by +3. A random additional substat is also added to each upgrade.
Upgraded gear generally sees higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item Level Upgrade; 79bo2.Com, upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.
The upgrader is located in all major cities and can be visited at any time to upgrade your gear. To keep your gear current it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each couple of weeks.
The cost of upgrading will be based on the current item upgrade level of the gear being upgraded but they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment from other sources. For example, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points purchasing a similar piece from another player will cost 105.

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapons, tools, armor, and other items. Players can purchase them from NPCs of item upgraders for various currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor with the help of button, which will display a preview of the item at its next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.
The upgrade cost depends on the slot of the item and current item level, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of Flightstones or crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.
Many locations have upgraders for their items, including the main Island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and the chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases with the number of items that are being upgraded. It is also possible to be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the start, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are available only through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit as well as an issue.
In Season 3, a number of new features were added to the upgrade system. When a player has an upgrade items to a specific item level for a particular armor slot, upgrading further items to that level will be less expensive, even if they are part of an entirely different set of gear.
The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players achieve certain achievement milestones.
Crests
When upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a variety of options. Flightstones are a currency that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more special, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.

Another notable modification is that crests have one usage and it's crucial to use them wisely. For instance, it's best to make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the best equipment available and keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you're planning on making. This is especially relevant for items like rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount for the entire account is only applicable when all slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
