WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boost in specific stats. Each upgrade increases the item upgrades level by +3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.

Upgraded gear generally sees higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less useful for those with higher variance due to the need to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every few weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current level of the gear being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than buying new gear from other sources. For example upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from item upgraders NPCs for various currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool, or armor. The button will show a preview of an item upgrades's next upgrade level in the event that there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot of the item and the current level of the item. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Certain upgrades provide a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currency types.

Upgraders for items are available in many places, including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount as well as a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases depending on the amount of items that are being upgraded, and can be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or complete quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at start, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are only available via a variety of ways. This is both a benefit and a drawback.

In Season 3, many new features were added to the upgrade system. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a particular level for an item in an armor slot, upgrading further items to the same level will cost less even in the event that they belong to a different gear set.

The amount of Valorstones required for upgrades is decreased, and the discount is affixed to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is reduced as well, but is only available after certain milestones are achieved.

Crests

Players have a variety of options when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specific and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.

First, you must be aware that Crests are only available to equipment that is with a certain rank. Each rank comes with distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and simplest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complex upgrade can require up to 20 crests, based on the type of equipment that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through finishing content at the appropriate level, which involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of all difficulties for higher-tier items or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses for gear that is used in the endgame. The crests can then be exchanged with an upgrader for the item level upgrade, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and pathways.

The new currency system isn't complicated to use, but it brings some modifications to the upgrade process. For instance, when an Best item upgrade level upgrade; posteezy.Com, reaches the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is intended to allow players to get their equipment to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters, rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests in a wise manner, as they only have one use. For instance, it's a good idea to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the top gear you have available and save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan on making. This is particularly true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The account-wide discount will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
