WoW Upgrades - The item upgrader mod Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

Upgraded gear generally sees more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less useful for those with lower requirements because of the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrade upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the item level, however they'll always be cheaper than buying new gear. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items that are used to level up weapons, tools, armor, and other accessories. They can be bought by players from NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for different currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool, or armor. button, which will display a preview of the item when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the item slot and current item level, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with some upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

Many locations have upgraders for their items which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon and the possibility of obtaining an entirely new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases according to the number of items being upgraded. It can also be increased by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the beginning, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are only available through a variety means. This is both a benefit as well as a drawback.

In Season 3, the upgrade system has been altered a bit, with some new features added. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a certain level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading other items to that level will cost less even if they are part of another set of gear.

The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is decreased, and the discount is affixed to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players have reached certain achievement milestones.

Crests

When upgrading equipment in WoW players have a few options. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are a crucial component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for gear that is of a particular rank. Each rank has a different upgrade path. The simplest and easiest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complex upgrade requires up to 20 crests, depending on the type of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can obtain crests by finishing content at the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons with all difficulties for higher-tier items or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for endgame gear. The crests can later be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade paths and steps.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, but it does bring some modifications to the upgrade items process. For instance, once an item Level upgrade reaches the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This is to allow players to get their equipment to the highest ilvl possible on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests in a wise manner, as they only have one use. For instance, it's a good idea make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the Best item upgrade equipment you have, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan to create. This is particularly true for items such as trinkets and rings that fill multiple slots. The account-wide discount will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
