World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is in %, the weapon will be able to gain 3percent of its previous damage every time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item level rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into weapons, armor, and trinkets in order to provide an extra stat boost or effect while they're in use. They can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to devices that have slots. The item must be upgraded to blue before the component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may have a prefix or suffix changing the name of the equipment with which it is used (for instancefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions of the item using the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can modify the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by purchasing them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will be available at the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their gear, even in the event that they don't know how much it will be improved following an update.

The process of upgrading an item could be expensive, and it is possible that the item will be obsolete or even break if the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade components that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, including any existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded various ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as you can.

You'll often see in the final game that placing Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15, and they provide significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes much faster.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restriction. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed with a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the value of the glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools and also through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the numerous Glyphs and there are some rare glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs then you need to place them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that will boost a specific set of stat nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Glyphs boost all nodes connected to them, so it is recommended to place Glyphs in key locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids, for example should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to boost the power of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level requires a different number of components to be reached, and the upgrade costs increase as the item upgrader kit gets leveled up.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned you'll be able to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When an Best item upgrader is upgraded by a player, the base item is replaced with a different item of the same kind. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item also has its own set bonus. This could be a problem in that it could cause the Best item upgrade to become more expensive if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by an entirely new item that has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This is useful for certain items, but it shouldn't be done regularly, as it can waste many resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled multiple times which increases their value and giving players the ability to alter their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives an increase in power if the player repeatedly enters or leaves the water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time increasing the max roll by 10 points. This item is extremely valuable in PvP as a perfectly rolled version of it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the level of their available equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currency to an NPC who upgrades items. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of that piece, while upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. The failure rate increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its initial state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition the item will lose any bonus it earned, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as any other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or reload speed). However, the player may continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

If an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon increases its crit chance that it will be applied before any attack damage increases. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item might have 5 upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Whatever the case, players must visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each equipment upgrade will require different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the cost mentioned above.
