World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also boost extra bonuses like PvE damage and crit chance.

For example a weapon that has the upgrade template that is ending in % will take on 3% attack damage every time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the item's current level. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets in order to give them a stat boost or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Some upgrades also have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to equipment with a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to blue level before a component can be used. In contrast to other mods components can only be used one time; they can't be used multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the equipment with which it is applied (for instancefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item upgrader mod, allowing players to create stronger versions of the item using the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they would require to achieve the same level with normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack properties of a weapon, or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.

The player can get the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will be available at the time of the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of how much they'll increase after a future reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be costly, and there is a significant risk that the item may become obsolete or even break when it fails. A failed upgrade will cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also offer a bonus if reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs increase the effectiveness of all nodes in a radius around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in a variety of ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as possible.

It is commonplace to see in the endgame that placing Glyphs is a great method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade item (redirect to Informer) component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes more quickly.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced again, are the most common. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the value of the glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools and also through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the many Glyphs and there are some rare Glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs then you have to put them on your gear. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. Based on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, therefore it is best to put Glyphs in strategic spots on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For example that a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes, but also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to boost the power of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned an amount that determines the final stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each item level requires a different number of components and the costs for upgrading increase as the item is upgraded.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or bought from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields several Technology Points. These points can be used to the upgrading of an item. Once enough points are earned you will be able to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When the player upgrades an item it is replaced with a different item of the same kind. The same armor will be upgraded to a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This could be a drawback since the item may increase in price even if you don't require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do so. This will cause the item to be traded for a new one, with an initial level and a completely different set of bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, however it's not something that should be performed frequently, since it can use up many resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to personalize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants buffs when the player repeatedly enters or leaves the water. This item can be upgraded multiple times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item can be very valuable in PvP as an item that is properly rolled it could be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the level of their available equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by offering the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces boost the defense of the base set, while upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal and also increase their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear that can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The probability of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to return to its initial state and the player having to pay for more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally the item will be deducted any gained bonuses, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as any additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or reload speed). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item upgrader kit is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it gains a crit chance increase that it will be applied before any attack damage increases. Slots is a brand new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a typical equipment item might have 5 upgrades with a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items will have an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they may require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. The player will still need to carry every piece of equipment they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the cost listed above.
