This projector is very good at grayscale OOTB. The smallest DeltaE error is 2.3 (which can be barely noticed by trained eyes). It also showed a lot of subtle color variations for instance, when Adam slammed his light staff into the ground.

Other features include 3D support keystone correction, and autofocus. These features make installation easier. It also supports BenQ's standard configuration options. It does not support vertical focus or lens shift. It does come with the ability to warp digital images which can be helpful in less than ideal installations, but it does impact the image quality.

Subjectively I discovered the GP500 to have very precise grayscale OOTB and measured an DeltaE of just 2.3 which is lower than what's visible to the human eye, but quite good. The auto-focus feature was extremely fast and efficient creating clear, crisp images that had lots of distinct shades. It had some issues with the darker night scenes in Life of Pi, but otherwise it produced a very cinematic feel.

There are no race rep graphics available for the GP500 however, you can purchase Airoh Sectors and Cosmos in a black finish. You can also buy it with Rockstar Drive and Check graphics to give it a more track-focused appearance.

The GP500 White also has several regular and not-so-common quality of life features, such as Keystone and Corner Fit (which is digital image warping). These features can be useful in less than ideal installations since they allow you to display a flat picture. They can, however, reduce image quality. This is a crucial aspect to take into consideration. The GP500 produced very clean and distinct colors. It also had a great grayscale performance OOTB.
