World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

The upgrade item of an item can be used to boost the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade, it may increase the rarity of an item or mark Level and increase other stats.

Each item has a track for upgrading it. Each Upgrade item increases the cost of the next one by a certain amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's base stats increases when it is upgraded. This is the sum of all of its leveled up benefits (attack magic attack, attack defense). Upgrades can be expensive depending on who you hire and what you decide to do. This is because of how many perks have to be replaced in order for the item to be upgraded.

It can also be used as a gating requirement when waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It can also be used to limit the amount of PvP gear players are able to wear, since PvP is limited at a lower level. The average item level can be found in the character sheet.

When deciding to purchase or sell equipment, players can compare the levels of the item. It's a useful gauge of an item's worth and the amount of damage it's capable of dealing with. The level of an item can be used to compare items when examining the inventory of a vendor.

On your PC, you can view the item level using ALT, or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. The item will be displayed with its full description, including the ilvl. You can also locate it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel in chat.

There are several theories about how the item level is determined. One theory is that the level is a numerical value derived from a formula that determines how much an item's stats are worth. It takes into consideration the fact that various perks have different value and that sockets have gems that increase the item's overall value. This can result in an item's ilvl which is calculated and is usually very close to Blizzards actual level of the item.

However, this isn't the only factor that determines the ilvl of an item, as the size of the area the item was dropped in could alter the value of its stats, such as by adding a level to its haste rating or crit rating. This means that items dropped at higher levels will have more the ilvl than items from lower level instances.

Item Stats

The stats of an item are a major part of what determines the value of an item for players. The game uses them in many ways to encourage players not to restrict themselves to a particular weapon and to encourage them to try out other weapons. The stat modifications of a weapon boost the base stats. These stat mods are then boosted by a player's level.

Upgrades to an Best item upgrader can increase the stats of an item. The rarity of an item determines its upgrade cost. An item that is white or grey for instance, will only be upgraded one time, while an item with rare tiers can be upgraded multiple times with higher costs.

Another method of altering the stats on an item is to use affixes. They are stat boosts which can be added by the player to an item. The affixes could do things like give the Best item upgrade additional damage, or give a specific ability to the item (such as reviving the dead or cutting down the cooldowns), or make the item unique by adding an exclusive name to the item.

All affixes are being re-rolled right now by selecting them in the upgrade window, and pressing the green button. This procedure will cost the player a specific amount of gold and items that can be used to add to the upgrade gauge in the same manner as other options for rerolling.

In addition to rerolling affixes, players can select which of the available stats to be kept on an item after it is upgraded. The possible stat ranges for an item are based on the item level, but all items are guaranteed to have at minimum one stat within the specified range, unless it's a unique item or an item that is a God roll from a boss in a raid.

Another thing that could change is the possibility of upgrading equipment without having to reroll the affixes, or choose which stats to enhance. As with the base equipment, this will have to be done per item and the interface for item comparison wouldn't display all possible stats at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player can increase the probability of obtaining items and the properties that are spawned by loot and the intensity of these properties. However, it does not, directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players an opportunity to get better equipment earlier in the game. This is more advantageous for early game runs, because players tend to put the scaling of weapons and defenses over raw damage gains.

Luck can also increase the chances of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chances of upgrading that increase with each new level of item. They can also be enhanced by using anti-materials, such as a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons have a default Luck value of 40. These items can be enhanced with golden ingots, or spined leather (depending on the type of material) to increase the value of 40 luck, or to increase the luck of the item to 140.

Moreover some items, such as the Hollow weapon, which is infused with Hollow can be outfitted to boost the damage of any damage-dealing skill by five percent. These items can be purchased at the store, or they can be made using the correct ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades are successful. However, there are cash shop items that allow players to increase their success rate or prevent them from losing an item if the upgrade is unsuccessful.

The rate of success of an upgrade is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage is the chances of successfully upgrading that item, and it can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The percentage of success can only be increased so much, and the likelihood that an upgrade will fail cannot exceed 100%..

The Luck of an item can influence the effectiveness of an upgrade. Every item has an average success rate of 25%, and each item that has Luck increases the chance of success by five percent.

It is important to note that upgrade items are rendered above the items in the inventory which means that enchantment glints and other effects could be obscured by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
