The Best robot vacuum with mop Hoover

The best robot hoover can mop and vacuum without needing your attention, and leaves your floors spotless. Its price is surprisingly low and high-end features (such as dirt detection) are great features.

Make sure you regularly check your robot's brushes for tangled hair and large debris, and wash them when needed. Some models will also empty the onboard dustbin and deposit it in an additional bin at the base. This reduces the amount fine dust that is released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro and its sibling the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've examined. They have motors that are top of the quality and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. Like other iRobots with premium features (including the most powerful model) they employ smart mapping to create detailed floorplans and avoid household obstacles like cords and furniture leg. They also come with a feature called carpet boost which boosts the robot's power when it detects an abundance of dirt on the carpet in order to get it cleaned up quickly.

The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored very well in our tests on floors that were bare, and they are particularly adept at cleaning dog hair. They do have some flaws however, which prevent them from being our top option. One of the flaws of the Q5 is that its navigation system does not feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's also prone to get stuck on socks and shoes, and it couldn't navigate rooms with lots of people efficiently during our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera that would let it see the corners of the room.

However, it's a good choice, especially if you want to save money on an Roomba from iRobot, and you have a mostly bare-floor home or office. It's also very quiet and can be used when you're at work or school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming feature that's available in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle, however. If you need to mop, the mopping pad can be replaced with a wet one in just a few seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact elegant vacuum cleaner that can sweep floors. Its agile navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it easy to clean and efficient in dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also features a self-emptying dustbin with powerful suction and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robot hoover for carpets, although it isn't as efficient as some of its competitors in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mop utilizes sensors to keep away from obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the structure of your home over time to provide cleaner and more efficient cleaning. The app allows you to modify zones and alter the cleaning schedule. It comes with a battery life that is comparable to other models.

When the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted area, you can tell it to remove and extend its mops. This helps prevent cross-contamination. The flex arm can be utilized to reach under furniture that is low and along baseboards. It's not as effective on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

In the course of testing, X30 Ultra was the most efficient robot vacuum/mop which could sweep the entire house, with 66 per cent of its battery remaining. It also did an excellent job of cleaning a mix of floors and rooms with different flooring types, including some area rug. Its obstacle detection was top-notch and it swiftly eluded fake dog socks, turds and cables.

It's more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but offers superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empties into the base. It also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can clean the floor even after it vacuums. This is something we haven't seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combinations.

3. IRobot Roomba X40

With an elegant circular design that looks more like a regular Roomba than the competition's compact models, this mop and robot autonomous vacuum is one of the most appealing looking in our tests. The newest model from iRobot is among the most intelligent model, with features that are cutting-edge like Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).

It's also the sole robot vacuum/mop to score a perfect 10 out of 10 in our evaluations. This is due to a mix of modern sensors, including a restructured light system, camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that can fully autonomously refill and empty its base station, and boasts an its own self-cleaning mop pads.

As with other iRobot models like the X40 is user-friendly, with a simple mobile app interface and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. The only issue is that the X40 is still a loud unit. This could be a concern in the mornings before work or at night when you're trying to sleep.

It's also a bit costly, but not as much as the Ecovacs S8 MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally capable and better looking. This is a two-in-one vacuum that is very efficient however it's more expensive and make more noise.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the high-end robot mop and vacuum. It comes with a variety of advanced features that help you forget your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaner that is similar to Ecovacs the top of the line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It has a multifunction dock which automatically empty the vacuum's bin and refills the water tank, and washes and dry the mop pads.

The smart robot uses LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floor plans and spot obstacles. It is more efficient in its navigation than its competitors with premium features. It also has a camera mounted on the front for real-time hazard detection but this was not foolproof in our testing and was sometimes confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its vacuum has a high suction maximum of 7,000 Pascals, which is more than enough to complete the task. It also features "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates how hard the vacuum works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the home in accordance with the amount of dirt they tend to be.

For larger houses it's recommended to choose a model with zone or spot cleaning modes that let you tell the robot to clean a particular area of your house using the app or via voice commands. A stairway mode is useful if you own a number of furniture. For families that are busy, a recharge function and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to pick up where it left off can be very useful.

5. iRobot Roomba RX3

The RX3 is more advanced than the price suggests. It is a great job vacuuming, removing 55% of the debris we found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with a single pad that uses a reciprocating motion, which is cleaner than the other mop cleaners for robots we've examined. It's self-sufficient too, with a fully-featured app as well as an auto-emptying, washable base.

The iRobot application is designed to guide you through an exercise in mapping that collects data on your floorplan, as well as any "no go" areas that you have marked on the map. It can be used to make cleaning schedules, arrange an area for cleaning or to prioritize your most filthy rooms for better performance. The app also provides access to many features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom maps, and advanced settings for your cleaning.

Its shape is more rectangular than other robot vacuum that mops vacuums, which means it can reach corners and under furniture more easily. It is equipped with an impressive 8000 Pascal suction, as well as clever combs for removing pet hair. You can also set up a spot clean that scours a specific area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and less expensive alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras look like cute eyes. It's good at vacuuming but is more prone to getting caught on low thresholds and is more noisy than the other top robotic vacuums we've tested. It also has a less user-friendly app and a tiny base station that isn't able to double as an emptying bin.
