bedside crib with changing table Cot Reviews

A bedside crib (also known as a bassinet) sits next to your bed, so you can safely tend to your baby during night feeds and diaper changes without having to get out of the bed. They are also great for creating independence as your little one becomes more confident in their own space to sleep.

The Joie Roomie Glide

The Joie Roomie Glide crib is a bedside crib which allows parents to sleep with their newborn while ensuring that they are sleeping safely. Its smooth gliding motion is able to ease your baby back to sleep. Its innovative features ensure that you can keep an eye on your baby without leaving your own bed.

The cot's side panel sliding raises and lowers at the press of an button, making it a breeze to reach inside and soothe a crying baby in the night. It also has 11 height adjustments that allow it to accommodate the mattress of nearly any size bed. It also has adjustable folding feet to ensure it's placed at just the right height.

In terms of safety the cot is cushioned and has mesh sides for increased ventilation, while its mattress is made of high-density foam for extra protection. It's also washable so you can keep it clean. Additionally, it comes with a fitted sheet that is suitable for use with the cot.

In contrast to other cribs for bedside use like the Roomie Glide is suitable for all beds, including divans due to its straps and clip attachment. It can be used as a standalone crib if it isn't connected to the bed. It has many wonderful features that were designed with baby and parent bonding in mind.

One thing to bear in mind is that even though this crib is great for newborns, it won't last long after your baby turns six months old, and you will need to invest in larger cots. Overall, Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide crib was a great buy. She loved its sleek design.

The Roomie Glide is available to purchase from John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna thought was a reasonable cost for a cot that has these advanced features. She also liked the way it looked in the bedroom and believed that the grey color will work well in modern homes. She did point out that it's not an ideal idea to rock a baby in the early years because it can create an unfavourable sleep pattern for later.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning crib for bed designed with a secure night's rest in mind. It comes with an adjustable side rail that can be easily adjusted to feed your child at night without disturbing them or getting out of bed. This is great for mothers who breastfeed! It is also lightweight and easy to move around during nap time or when traveling.

We love that it's constructed from soft materials with mesh sides that breathe, which aids in airflow and comfort. It comes in charcoal or oak and a variety of melange fabrics that blend with all styles of decor. Anna discovered that it was sturdy and secure after being affixed to her bed. The legs slid into place and the zippers were secure for security. It took her about 10 minutes to put together and didn't require tools, with clear instructions and a video or customer support number if you run into any problems.

The CoZee crib has all the features you would think of in a crib for your bed, including the ability to connect it to your bed using a stay-in place connection system. It also has six height settings. In addition there is an incline feature that can be used to assist infants suffering from reflux or congestion. It's also machine-washable, which is a essential feature for all the dribbles, vomit and snot that comes with having a baby!

If you're looking to keep your baby close to you during the first six months as they're beginning to learn to sleep independently The CoZee is a fantastic option as it can also be used as a standalone crib, changing table and toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa-bed extension pack, it can be transformed into a bed. While it won't magically put your baby to sleep or feed them, it can rock the baby and take them to school.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of Chicco's more expensive options, but it has a wide array of features. It can be used as either a side-sleeper, or a standalone crib, and is suitable for infants from birth to six months. It comes with a new mechanism to open and close the side panel and is simple to use, even for one-handed operation. It's also more flexible than its predecessor with 11 different height levels as well as retractable feet for a secure installation under any bed.

Our testers loved the ease of access provided by the side panel which can be moved upwards and down with one push of a switch. This was a huge help during night time feeds as it meant that they could easily reach inside and pick up their baby without waking them up.

It is possible to lower the side panel by it's own, however this is not recommended, because it increases the chance that your child will be thrown out of the cot. However, the patented safety locking mechanism guarantees that it will only remain in place if it is connected to the parent's bed correctly. This is an excellent feature to have in place for peace of mind, especially if you're breastfeeding and require frequent nighttime feedings.

Telescopic legs enable the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed including divan bases or beds with drawers. It features a tilting feature to help reflux babies, and the ability to rock to ease them into sleep after a meal. It's also extremely large and offers excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.

Our test subjects found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, though it comes with lengthy instructions. It's a bit heavier than some of the other side-sleepers, however it's fairly portable and can be moved from room room easily. It can also be folded into a travel bag, which is ideal for those who want to transport it. The only issue our test subjects found was that the side panel didn't flex as much as some of the other models, which made it difficult to observe your child from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

The Shnuggle Air bedside co sleeper cot crib is a great option when you're looking for a crib that grows with your child. Designed to be a co-sleeping bassinet that will attach securely to your bed and transform into a stylish cot once your baby is ready, it's perfect for night-time feeds and for strengthening your bond with your infant.

In contrast to other cribs for bed like the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. The mesh side panels with dual-view and hypoallergenic, breathable airflow mattress allow for maximum airflow, keeping your baby comfortable and cool. The gentle slope can help reduce colic and reflux. The zip-down side allows you to feed your baby or soothe them during the night.

The cot conversion kit (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you need to begin. It took us an hour to construct and was relatively easy to put together. The only drawback was the absence of captions written on a few of the images which made it difficult to comprehend some of the steps. However, overall it was an easy procedure and the quality of materials employed was of a high standard.

In the co-sleeping mode, we discovered the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent choice for breastfeeding mums and women who have had a c-section as it allows them to easily reach out to their newborn to feed and comfort them without having to leave their bed. It's also great for mothers who want to avoid the stress of getting into and out of a traditional cot or placing their child down for a nap.

The motion of gliding was found to be very helpful in lulling babies to sleep following meals at midday or night. The drop-down side is also easily accessed to feed or calm babies in the middle of the night and was a major selling point for our exhausted test mothers. Although it doesn't rock or have extra features such as an audio system the Joie Roomie Glide's elegant design and practicality are a welcome addition to our best rocking bedside crib crib reviews.
