1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+, iRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its biggest advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. This uses AI to identify objects like charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to send you images of objects that it encounters, so that you can tell the robot to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot vacuum for Vinyl plank floors robot mop we've ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills effortlessly leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't clean areas you do not want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it by speaking to it.

The design is also more appealing than the other models. It has a sleek, top piece that appears like an toy, not a loud and obnoxious robot. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty and is ideal for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests the j7+ performed quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place, instead of scattering it on the floor. It was able to capture small gravel, sand and even a little grit. Most robots can't achieve this feat. And all of this without getting caught in our pet's shedding hair.

While it's not quite as efficient as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs The J7+ is an excellent choice for those who need both mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take some time to download updates, and sometimes it's hard to determine whether the update is working until you see it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking to purchase an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, the best choice is probably a hybrid. These bots are equipped with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. They also come with a variety of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they can be expensive at retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.

Roborock makes some of our favorite robotic vacuums and the Q5+ does not disappoint. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and while it doesn't have some of the premium features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing sacrifice a little to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles such as table legs and walls which makes it a good option for homes with a lot of furniture. It is also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is an area that many cheaper robot vacuums aren't able to meet. The Q5+'s navigation system is also excellent, with few misses along walls or in corners.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled by a handful of buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.

If you decide to go with the Q5+, it comes with a new auto-empty dock that's specifically designed to make the robot easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed it is done easily. It also comes with a large LCD display which is great to have when setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't a necessity for everyone but it will help you keep the track of your robot's maintenance intervals easily.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly intelligent in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and function are some of the best robovac on the market however, it's also expensive.

The base station looks nice and hides it when not in use, and its size is quite compact. But the station's main selling factor is its ability to automate various tasks and functions that most other robots leave up to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot clean and charged.

Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's the only robovac I've tried that does a good job picking up debris from bare floors. It's also not as loud as the expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, meaning it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the house cleaning robot. It's not able climb stairs as well as some competitors, for instance and it doesn't have a dock that allows the user to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for plush carpets.

While it doesn't offer as many in terms of cleaning options available in its app or as many shortcuts in the app as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for a comprehensive robot vacuum and mop that's worth the premium price price.

If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot vacuum deals black friday, there are alternatives available. Many of the eufy models cost substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance, is cheaper however it comes with more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, with the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on bare floors, low-pile carpets and even high-pile ones.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy is an Anker company that has an established track record of making robot vacuums that offer the perfect balance of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpet flooring, and mopping capabilities at an affordable price. It's simple to set up, simply connect one of the side brushes and then turn it on. Then plug in your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to leave the dock close to a power outlet and enough space for it to move around, however.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise It will fit under many couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design isn't as ostentatious compared to some rival models. It is sleek with a black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral fashion over two minutes), Recharge and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.

The way that the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from other models. It makes use of an integrated map to draw an image of the immovable items in its path. It can remember the things it has cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning where it left off.

The eufy G30 isn't without faults however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better constructed, has lower recurring costs, is charged faster and has a similar battery life. It also offers better performance on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It comes with a larger dust bin, which doesn't require the same amount of emptying. It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 however is more affordable and much simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and it struggles less with bulky material such as cereal.
