World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.

For example an item with the upgrade template that ends in % will take on an attack damage of 3% each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the level of the item rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets in order to give them a boost in stats or an extra effect. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades also have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment with a slot for them. The item must be at least upgraded to the blue level in order for the component to be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascended equipment, as well in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear from the ascended, or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can include a suffix or prefix changing the name of the item to which it is applied (for examplefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of that equipment with less Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can modify the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop, or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other equipment.

The player can have the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear, even when they're not sure how much it will be improved following an update.

The process of upgrading an item could be costly, and it is possible that the item will be obsolete, or even break, in the event that the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the chance of failure. Certain upgrades also provide the player a bonus if they are they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as possible.

You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is the best method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes more quickly.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values that can enhance a stat by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with another Glyph with the same rank or higher rank, which will boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the numerous Glyphs as well as some rare glyphs to be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs, you will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs increase the number of nodes connected to them, so it is recommended to place Glyphs in key places on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids, for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items lets players increase the effectiveness of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item level upgrade has a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each level of an item requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrade the item, and when enough are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player improves a piece of equipment the original item is replaced by an item that is new. The same armor will be upgraded to a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set bonus. This can be a disadvantage because it can make the item more expensive if you do not require it.

Upgrades to items can be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens to do so. This will cause the item upgrader kit to be traded for a new one, which will come with an initial level and a completely different set of bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, however it shouldn't be repeated often, as it can use up lots of resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides buffs when the player continuously enters or exits water. The item can be upgraded several times by increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item can be very useful in PvP battles, since an item that is properly rolled it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the level of their available equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by providing the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces boost the defense of the base set and upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.

All items are upgradeable up to five times, except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Every when you upgrade an item upgrades, it is given an opportunity to fail. The failure rate increases the more you go over the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will cause the item to revert back to its original state, requiring the player to spend more materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item does not upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally the item will be deducted any bonuses it gained, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as all other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or reload speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded receives a crit chance boost it will be applied prior to any attack damage increases. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the item upgrades's definition and the value is computed each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is dependent on its rarity score and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item may have five upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items may have different upgrade requirements from normal equipment. For example, they may need less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. The player will need to take every piece of equipment they wish to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each upgrade will require a different amount of the upgrade ingredients.
