The best robot vacuum cleaner and mop Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. Multitaskers are ideal for those who are looking to eliminate mopping from their list of things to do. They are equipped with impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and some wash and refill their mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should pick if you are looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than other options on this list which makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through a clean.

It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one motion. Its 8,000pa suction motor is quick at picking up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets, and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as effective. The rotating mop spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms extend out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can be used to clean larger objects, such as broken toys or books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tried. It doesn't produce the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for its mopping function and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to set up, and it works well. However, if you are buying this auto vacuum and mop solely for mopping purposes, you will need to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuum cleaners reviews vacuums in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners looking to purchase an extremely efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the house and also detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and methodically. This results in an efficient, consistent clean that is also quite quick.

In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach a wide range of surface areas. They can reach corners or baseboards, as well as other difficult-to-access spots. The side brush can be stretched to extend to the floor, close to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are also washable and can be dried to remove odors and prevent buildup.

App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the amount of suction and choose between a back-and-forth or slightly more randomized pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it must make, which will affect how fast the device will move through your home. You can even choose to disable the side brush to prevent damaging rugs and carpets.

This device has a fairly expensive price tag, but it has a variety of advanced features. It's crucial to note that it incurs regular costs in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad should be replaced every one to three months.

This robot vacuum mop has an excellent Amazon rating and comes with many physical automation features. It has a power button that can also function as a general 'Clean button, as well as a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after finishing its cleaning task. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empties the dustbin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home neat without spending too much time on chores. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation and long battery life allow you to keep a clean home with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop. It can do both vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two components, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping module that includes an elastomer pad. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping, but it does mean you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its best robot hoover feature was its accurate map of your floorplan which it uses to determine the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at collecting hair from pets. It was able to capture some of the hair shed by our cats, and even got into some of the nooks and crannies of our stairs where other robots had struggled. It was relatively quiet and even had some pleasant jingles that let you know when it was about to start or completing its task.

The app was too easy and you had to alter the modules every time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app is not able to store multiple maps. This can be a problem if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want an intelligent robot that can do both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot auto vacuum and mop is the most expensive item in our review. However, it does have some unique features which make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's main draw is its massive dock that serves as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning, and a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.

The base has several control buttons, which allow you to manually start a cleaning task, recall the robot or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture in its path. It will avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognizing objects.

This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it is entangled in a hazard like a power cable tangled over a rug. It will not work until you remove it manually. This was a rare incident however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert in its app.

Another possible issue is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome view in a market that is dominated by bulky boxy models.
