Path of Exile item upgrader Upgrades

Upgrades to items are a common and essential way to boost the performance of numerous items in Path of Exile. They can cause additional damage, AD or even affixes.

Sometimes, however, upgraded Common and Magic gear is often surpassed by Rare-grade gear due to their requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades are a type of upgrade that can be used on armor and weapon items. They boost the performance of the item they're connected to. Armor upgrades are available in the world of the game and purchased from Blacksmiths on bonfires. They can also be salvaged by using an expert or higher salvage kits to retrieve upgrades from the items.

The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it is able to take on. Upgrading a piece of armor to maximum upgrade level will increase its ability to absorb damage. But, it's important to be aware that this upgrade will increase its weight, which will cause it to weigh more than it was before.

There are a variety of armor upgrades that are available in the game. Each one has a distinct effect. Some upgrades give armor a greater amount of health points while others make it stronger and lighter. The name of the upgrade will indicate the type of upgrade the item can receive, as shown below.

A few upgrades are magical or a combination of magic and technology, which is shown by the "Magic" or "Hybrid" entry in the table below. Certain upgrades require charges for use. These are identified as "Charges" entries in the table. These charges are either continuously updated or never expire based on the upgrade.

The cheapest method to upgrade armor is by using Iron Ore, which can be gathered by exploring the environment and looting minor loot chests. Titanium is more expensive but it can be obtained through smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, such as the Reforge or the Hot Potato Books can only be used on armor pieces of the highest level. These upgrades can give significant boost to performance and are worth the cost, especially for single-handed weapons.

Upgrading a piece of armor to the highest upgrade level will greatly boost its defense, but the player should be aware that increasing its weight will dramatically reduce its agility and speed. It is not recommended to upgrade armor above +9. The defensive boost gained typically isn't worth the weight and power cost of the upgrades.

Weapons

Weapon upgrades let players increase the effectiveness of certain aspects of a weapon. Upgrades can improve the accuracy of a rifle, or the damage caused by shotgun shells. Some weapons also have special enhancements that enhance their intrinsic qualities. These include Frictionless Materials (improves stability and reduces the risk of overheating of the weapon) and Kinetic Coils (increases the velocity of projectiles for greater damage).

The majority of upgrades to weapons require a whetblade, one of three Power Dices and a different amount Minerals and Erons. They can be obtained by doing side quests, or taking out a certain number of bosses or monsters, or through the Weapon Upgrade NPC located in Central Flarine.

To upgrade the weapon, equipment set piece or Whetblade you need to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine, and pay her an upgrade fee that is a certain amount of Bars. The higher the upgrade level, the more bars you will need to complete the upgrade. If you have multiple upgrade materials The cost of upgrading will be lower.

In Chapter 2: Season 5, the method of upgrading your weapon and equipment sets has changed a bit. In the past, you could seek out an Upgrade Bench and pay a set number of Bars to upgrade your equipment or weapon to an increased rarity. You could do this until the weapon or equipment reached its maximum upgrade level and at that point, the upgrades would reset.

It's still possible, but it depends heavily on RNG. Instead, you're better off visiting stores and purchasing equipment with low upgrade levels, but good base scores and stat distributions. They will also be able to give you the highest tier perks and blessings.

Most players will want to prioritize upgrades to the weapons they use most frequently to make sure they are able to level up faster. Players should also upgrade the weapons that their squadmates use to make them stronger. Shepard, for example, should upgrade the M92F in order to unlock the Beretta M93R. This will increase the effectiveness of the weapon when used by biotic specialists like Grunt and Tali.

Jewels

Jewels can be used to increase a stat or provide secondary effects in armor and weapons. Jewelry crafting is the process of creating them. You combine the gemstone with specific reagents on a jewelry table. The higher the grade of the gem, the greater the secondary effect. These reagents can be gotten from Treasure Goblins and World Bosses in the world, or through collecting Legendary Gear. You can also buy them from The Jeweler for gold and a Scattered Prism.

The Jeweler can boost the quality of gemstones in stages ranging from Crude up to Royal. The stat boosts can vary depending on the level the jewel is at when it's slotted into weapons, jewelry, or equipment.

All levels of jewels can be made at the Jeweler, with the exception of the rare and legendary jewels which require you to be at a high enough level to qualify for the privilege of having them. Unlike other upgrade components, jewels can be swapped out with a identical jewel without destroying the original one. However, you can only replace a jewel in an equipment piece only once.

The use of more jewels in a move can make it feel more comfortable and is typically performed for aesthetic reasons. In addition to improving performance, the jewels create an outer layer that is more durable than metal, so repeated friction from pivots doesn't cause damage as easily.

In addition to the upgrades mentioned above additionally, players can get glyphs for their weapons and shields from a Glyphmaster. These glyphs provide a small boost and can be freely traded, but they're not guaranteed to be available as loot. Glyphs can be upgraded, like jewelry, at the Jeweler for gold, and also a Scattered Crystal. Glyphs may also be removed and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, such as traits or aegis can't be exchanged and can only be recovered with an Upgrade extractor, or salvaging with Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage tool.

Trinkets

Trinkets can provide your hero with many small, but valuable, benefits. They are available in the start-up area as loot or personal story rewards. They can also be obtained from vendors as well as through completing road interaction. They can be found on the Trading Post, or crafted by jewelers.

The first trinket players will unlock is the cloak. It provides a tiny but valuable boost in movement speed and the ability to evade. The player can then collect necklaces, rings, and amulets, in a similar way to how they acquired weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment has one upgrade slot that can accept either a universal or jewel upgrade. Universal upgrades are smaller and can be used on any equipment. Jewels cannot be upgraded or replaced and are only compatible with certain trinkets.

These trinkets can also grant buffs and skills that are active when the hero is not fighting. This enables the hero to perform better when they are not active, and can also help fill in the void of a solid team or the absence of any slots from the talent tree which would normally be filled with the hero's best statistics.

A good guideline for trinket upgrades is to prioritize BiS (Best-in-Slot) items that you won't be replacing soon, followed by items with desirable stats that are less important than the iLevel of the item upgrader kit (mozillabd.Science) being upgraded. This is especially true when you are looking to upgrade multiple statistics on an item upgrader mod. It's best to upgrade just one crucial stat rather than two suboptimal ones.

Jungle players usually upgrade their yellow trinkets to a red one at the start of the game. Top and mid players however, will choose either a pink or green ward, depending on the matchup. These choices will have a significant impact on the hero's map control abilities.

Aside from the things mentioned above, players can discover a variety of other trinkets in the game in the form of trophies and awards. They can be earned through completing certain milestones in the story, for instance finishing a chapter's main quest or destroying a boss. These achievements can be seen by selecting the relevant achievement in the reward tab of the hero menu.
