Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help draw out dirt from corners.
The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by much. The mop rotates quickly and utilizes 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stain. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards.
