WoW Upgrades - The item upgrading Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an Item Level Upgrade by +3. Each upgrade also boosts the random substatus.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like the eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item, however, they are always cheaper than purchasing new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items that can be used to level up weapons and tools, armor and other items. Players can purchase them from item upgraders NPCs in a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor with the help of The button will show the item's next upgrade level, when there are enough materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the item slot and the current level of the item upgrader mod as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers, for example. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of the Flightstones or the crests used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain level and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currency types.

Upgraders for items are available at many locations on the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of obtaining a new recipe. The discount for upgrading increases as more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrading upgrader at the start, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. Instead, the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades are acquired via a variety of means which is both an improvement as well as a disadvantage.

In Season 3, a number of new features were added to the upgrade system. Once a player has upgraded to a specific level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This is even if those items come from a different set of equipment.

The amount of Valorstones required for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is available across all accounts. Similarly, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievements.

Crests

Players have a variety of choices when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1 and are available in 4 ranks.

The first thing to remember is that crests are only able to be used on equipment that is of a particular rank, and each rank has its own requirements for its upgrade path. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade requires up to 20 crests, contingent on the type or gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by finishing tasks at the appropriate level. This could be done by doing outdoor activities or doing dungeons or raids in all difficulty levels to obtain lower-level gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons with heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. Crests can be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade paths and steps.

Utilizing these new currencies isn't that difficult, but the system will introduce a few changes to the overall upgrade process. Once a piece of gear has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it no longer requires Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade items their equipment to the highest possible level on all of their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests only have one use and it's crucial to make use of them in a responsible manner. For instance, it's a good idea use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the top equipment available, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you're planning on making. This is particularly relevant for rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, which will only be able to benefit from the account-wide discount when all slots are filled with top-quality gear.
