World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The upgrade of an item upgrader kit allows players to boost the gear rating of an item level upgrade up 700 points, and then give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you take them to the kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded to increase their stats (like perfect rolled breakpoint armour used in melee PvP) and others, like weapons, do not vary greatly post upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats, such as the chance to crit, attack damage PvE and damage to PvP. Weapons also have an unchanging bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. Additionally some weapons come with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon is present on a single unit. In some instances, this bonus could add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon is able to upgrade on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity and level. For example, a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while the +3 model requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the weapon will continue to rise until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons can also alter the stats of their base. While this is generally a good thing however, it could have negative consequences too. Upgrades can make things unusable, unless you are extremely lucky.

Armor items can be upgraded to increase their stats. For example, if you upgrade a helm or chest, it will boost the defense of its base, while gloves and belts will improve their required strength and dexterity. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it is able to reduce its value.

The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats it will gain when upgraded and their respective values. This means that an upgrade from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in the weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will strike 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

A weapon can also be rerolled using the green button with circling arrows in the item menu. This will reroll an Item upgrader mod and alter its stats, but not reset the weapon's levels or connect it to an account's status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make all the difference to your survivability. Certain sets offer massive increases in poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, which can make the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the greater defense you have for your character, the more health you can get from each point. So, it's Best item upgrade to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four fountains in all and each one requires you to complete a specific side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels and the amount of materials and Rupees required to complete each will vary. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, then anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. For instance the Champion Leathers could be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep up with a large group of enemies in most cold conditions, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded to +20 defense, granting the protection needed to survive the full-on assault with a handful of friends.

You can't upgrade armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor for physical power or spell power. It's also worth saving your armor upgrades for the armor you'll wear at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you'll wear for the final boss battle and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

You can also gain benefits to your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll generally want to save these upgrades to the weapon that you'll use to win the game. For example, the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have a few upgrades to the chest armor and helmets to allow you to get around a few monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that when consumed by the player, provide the player with a temporary effect. There are five types of potions that have different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to enhance their level of effectiveness. Additionally the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust the potions.

Potion upgrades require a certain amount of XP. This can be earned by making them on a crafting table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion as well as the item's Rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI that lets you choose the potion that you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they'll offer when upgraded. Upgrades to potions can be made in batches of up to five at a time, and the XP they earn will be added to your current XP total.

Once a potion is upgraded, it will not be degraded until you use it again, or break the bottle it's stored in. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking it in your inventory.

There were a few updates to the mechanics of potions in version 1.7.2. Splash potions, for instance have now a duration of that is 0:08 instead of 22.5 seconds shown on the item hover display. The potion table is now made of four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. Also, putting a potion in a cauldron that is full drains the potion and refills the bottle.

In addition, there are lingering potions that are made with splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can be added to potions that are lingering to increase their effects. The table of potions is organized more closely to the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as the potion of leaping, the potion of decomposition, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket can be an ornamental item that is small, cheap or piece jewelry. It could also be a small ornament or object that serves a purpose, but isn't essential such as a Thimble. In some cultures, a trinket is used to signify affection or friendship, specifically between family members.

Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons or armor, as well as potions. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets, trinkets can be swapped out at will without losing their status.

Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of every zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are bought with tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.

Upgrades are a cheaper alternative to buying a new trinket. One can upgrade a trinket for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will come with the same base ilvl as the previous one, and will come with an additional upgrade bonus of 1.

Trinkets can be upgraded when they're no longer needed and allows players to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded among players, making them an alternative to gold.

In general, players should upgrade their top-priority items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are upgraded first then their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment they won't replace anytime soon (such as an earring or a cloak). Players should also consider their class's preferred stats when deciding the items to upgrade. For example If Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers, they should prioritize upgrading their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and chest.

Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher ilvl after they are no longer useful, and the new trinket will receive an additional upgrade bonus of 1. However, a re-upgrade can cause the trinket to be destroyed, unless it is salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an additional salvage tool of higher quality. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still cheaper than buying a new one.
