World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

The upgrade of an item can be used to improve the stats of a particular item. Depending on the type of upgrade you choose, it can increase an item's Rarity or Mark Level and boost additional stats.

Upgrading gear in The War Within requires a specified number of Flightstones and Crests and each item has an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the price of the next item by a specified amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's basic stats increases as it is upgraded. The value is the sum of all of an item's leveled-up perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be expensive, depending on the person you hire and what you do. This is due to the sheer number of perks that need to be changed in order to upgrade an item.

Item level is a widely used measure of power, and can be seen on all item upgrader mod tooltips. It also serves as a gating requirement when queueing for dungeons, scenarios, and raids, as well as to limit the amount of PvP gear a player can wear (since PvP is capped at the lower levels). The average level of the item is listed on the character sheet.

The level of an item will allow players to compare the power of equipment when they decide to buy or sell. It's a measure of the damage and its quality. The level of the item can be used to evaluate items when looking at the inventory of a seller.

On PC, you are able to see the level of the item using ALT, or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. The item will be displayed with its full description, including the ilvl. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel in chat.

There are several theories about how the item level is calculated. One theory is that the level is a number that comes from a formula which calculates the value of an item's stats are worth. It considers the fact that different perks have different worth, and also that gems in sockets increase the value of the item overall. This can result in a calculated item's ilvl that is often very close to Blizzard's actual item level.

This is not the only factor that affects the value of an item. The location of where the item was dropped can alter its stats. For example, it could add a level to the item's haste or crit rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have more ilvl than those from lower-level instances.

Item Stats

The item's stats can be the difference between a good or bad item upgrader mod for players. The game uses a lot of them in different ways to encourage players to play with multiple weapons, and also to stop one weapon from being "the most effective." The stat modifications of an weapon increase the base stats. These stat mods are then boosted by a player's level.

The upgrades to items add by increasing certain stats on the item. The rarity of an item determines its cost of upgrading. A white or grey item, for example, will only be upgraded one time and items with rare tiers may be upgraded multiple times with higher prices.

Another way to change the stats of an item is through affixes. They are stat boosts which can be added by the player to an item. The affixes can be used to provide items with extra damage or other special capabilities (such as the ability to revive dead or reduce cooling downs) or to differentiate them by naming them.

At present, all affixes can be modified by selecting them in the upgrade window and pressing the green button with circles arrows. This process will cost the player a certain amount of gold and items, which can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same way as other options for rerolling.

In addition to Rerolling affixes and rerolls, players can select which stats to keep on an item when it is upgraded. The range of stats determined by the item's level. However every item will have at least one stat in the range, unless they are a unique item or a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

This is another aspect that can be modified by adding the option to upgrade the equipment without rerolling the affixes or choosing which stats to increase. However, as with the base equipment, this would need to be carried out on a per-item level, and the interface for comparing items will not show all the stats that could be either lost or gained at the same time.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player increases the chance of finding items and the properties that are created by loot and the intensity of these properties. However, it does not directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players the chance to acquire better equipment earlier in the game and is therefore more valuable in the early game than later ones since most players prefer more powerful weapon scaling and defenses over damage gains.

In addition to influencing the discovery of items, Luck also increases the probability of success when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith’s overall Upgrade Item chances, which increase with each new level of item. It is also possible to be increased by using anti-materials like a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Weapons, armor, and shields can be made or spawn by using the Luck property, which has an initial value of 40. These items can then be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the material of the item) to give +40 Luck, or to increase the Luck of an item up to 140.

Certain items, like the Hollow-infused weapon, can also be equipped to increase the damage of any ability that deals damage by five percent. These items can be found in the shops or made using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Upgrades to items can be expensive and not all upgrades will succeed. However, there are cash shop items that allow players to increase their chance of success or stop them from losing an item in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful.

When you upgrade an item, the rate of success is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the probability of successfully upgrading that item, and it can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The probability of success can only be increased as much, and the chance that an upgrade will fail cannot be greater than 100%..

The performance of an upgrade is also affected by the luck of the item. All items have a base success rate of 25%, and every item that has Luck increases the chance of success by an additional 5%.

It is important to note that upgrade items are rendered above the items in the inventory which means that enchantment glints and other effects can be obstructed by them. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
