WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.

Upgraded gear generally sees greater value for trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item upgrading is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

The cost of upgrades will depend on the current item level of the item upgrading being upgraded but they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment from other sources. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that are used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and accessories. Players can purchase them from item upgrades upgraders NPCs in a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor with an The button will show the item's next level of upgrade, when there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the item upgrades slot, and the current level of the item. For example, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain level, it can be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currency types.

Upgraders for items are available at many locations including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount as well as a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases depending on the amount of items being upgraded. It can also be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.

Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no item upgrader mod (My Page) upgrader available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that are available to facilitate upgrades must be acquired through several methods, which is both an improvement but also a drawback.

In Season 3, several new features were added to the upgrade system. Once an upgrade has been completed to a specific level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This applies even if those items are from an entirely different set of gear.

The discount is available to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players achieve certain milestones in their achievement.

Crests

When upgrading gear in WoW, players have a few options. Flightstones are an item that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more special and are utilized during specific upgrades to the level of an item. Crests are an important component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

The first thing to be aware of is that crests can only be used to purchase gear of a specific rank, and each rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and easiest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade can require up to 20 crests, contingent on the type or equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by completing content of the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, dungeons or raids of all difficulty for items of higher tier, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons for gear that is used in the endgame. Crests can be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

The new currency system isn't complicated to use, however it does bring some modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This change is designed to allow players to get their gear up to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another notable change is that crests have one usage therefore it's essential to make use of them in a responsible manner. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the highest-quality gear that you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially true for items like rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character, which can only be eligible to avail the discount for all accounts when all slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
