World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to items give players the ability to upgrade equipment that they already have. This can be accomplished by any item upgrader NPC.

Upgrades boost the stats of an item and add extras based on its type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs or Goldwrap for build casters.

Armour

Armour is among the key things that keeps Link safe from harm in all situations. While it cannot be upgraded like weapons, it can still be improved in a variety of ways to improve its defence capabilities.

Armour is designed to safeguard animals and people from injury or harm, whether it's from a direct physical attack or a variety of environmental or activity hazards. Historically, the majority of armour was made from fabric or leather, but metal protections were also utilized particularly for military purposes like heavy cavalry and combat drones.

As with weapons, there are a number of ways that armor can be upgraded, however, most of them will require a visit to one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. Each fountain offers a different level of upgrade, with more protection levels requiring more rupees and other materials.

The first thing to note about Armor Upgrades is they are permanent upgrades and once they've been installed, they can't be replaced unless you have another piece of equipment that comes with the same upgrade. It is recommended to only apply the most advanced upgrades to your equipment and ensure that you have the equipment required to complete the process.

For those who want to acquire the necessary upgrade components to upgrade your character, they are available all over Hyrule including merchants, shrines, and even enemies. They are typically marked by an orange triangle or a gold circle and can be found in great numbers as you progress. They can appear randomly, but there is a possibility that getting certain upgrades can trigger a quest that will reward you with more.

It's also worth noting that even though the amount of protection offered by each upgrade differs however, it's the same across all upgrades and will always be better than nothing. This is due to the fact that a full set of upgraded armour will grant you a high defense boost, which will shield you from all types of attacks, except magic, making it a powerful tool for any class.

Weapons

If you'd like to make your guns truly unique, you can enhance them with a variety upgrades. These can increase damage, alter the weapon's stats so that they are suited to your particular build or even unlock new attachments, such as unique enchantments, ammo types and other options for aesthetics.

To upgrade a weapon, you'll need an upgrade component ready and the item. The weapon should also be at or above a certain point for the upgrade to take effect and most weapons can only take one upgrade at one time.

Weapon upgrade components can be found scattered throughout the world, from the enemy or from merchants. The upgrade components themselves are made up of components that can be slotted into weapons, armor, trinkets, and gathering tools to grant an attribute bonus or other impact while they're being used. They require that the equipment be of a certain level to be able to take the upgrade. They can be upgraded in the same manner as other items.

The upgrades themselves are a mix of Smithing Stones and Runes, and are used to improve the stats of the base weapon and improving its scaling with other stats. They can be found among enemies who drop them in the open world, bought from certain merchants or found as drops in combat.

Two NPCs can upgrade your weapon: Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji, in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.

Prioritize upgrading your most-used slot items first. Then upgrade the ones you're not likely to replace in the near future. Upgrade your weapon first, and then upgrade your shoulders, chest hands, feet, and hands when you are planning to play a melee build. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. But, depending on your playstyle, some procs will be more beneficial than others. The same is true for Armour Reforges, with certain types being better than others.

Magic Items

A character can only upgrade one item of magic. If an upgrade project is canceled then any subsequent upgrades for the item won't begin. Upgraded magic items cost twice as much gold to make or purchase, but they can provide other benefits.

A magical item upgrader mod can be any item upgrader kit that has special properties or effects. These items are mostly weapons, but they could also be shields, armors and cloaks, as well as potions. They could also be rings, scrolls or other items. Certain of these items can be made to speak.

The majority of magic items be enhanced in their abilities. This could make them more beneficial to players or aid them overcome a difficult encounter. A weapon that contains some special substance could, for instance, provide an extra level of damage to a particular kind of enemy. This is especially useful for characters who have reached a level where they are likely to encounter the same kind of monster in dungeons over and over again.

A ring infused by magic might grant immunity to nonmagical attacks that bludgeon or pierce or cut (excluding silvered attacks) until the character is given a second rest. This is particularly useful for melee martial characters or any person who wishes to avoid buying an armor.

Certain items with enchanted properties have special abilities which allow the character to cast spells in addition to those on the list of spells for their class. This is a great benefit for a character who has trouble maintaining their spell slots due to multiclassing. These enchanted objects require an Intelligence check (Arcana) and the spell is determined by rolling a table based on the number of Intelligence point expended.

Other items that are enchanted can allow the player to change their appearance, or even create an entirely new one. These items can be especially useful for characters that have been forced to leave their home or in a location in which they are not welcomed. A magical item can give them the ability to disappear or make them invisible for everyone, except for the chosen person.

Utility Items

Utility items are equipment which does not fall into the categories of Clothing or Armor and have a variety of capabilities. In contrast to weapons and armor, no one utility item is able to be in conflict with another. Most utility items provide an effect that the player can activate by using them but some have additional abilities that are triggered when the user presses a button or activates the ability.

The Flashlight is the most commonly used utilitarian item upgrade. It is used to illuminate the area around it. Other options include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow the player to be floating in the air while moving and the Jetpack that allows the player to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. A variety of utility items can be instantly created in the Engineering section while others are unlockable through research projects or projects at the Proving Ground.

Players can unlock more powerful utility items in addition to the items available in their regular inventory by purchasing them at the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Certain of these items can be upgraded to allow more efficient use.

The majority of utility items give players an advantage in navigation or boost a specific combat ability. Sharpening stones, crafted by the Weaponsmith will increase power and Ferocity, while Maintenance Oils, crafted by the Huntsman can increase concentration and healing power. Other items that are useful can be used by the player to boost Damage or Condition Damage.

All XCOM soldiers are capable of equipping one utility item at the beginning of the campaign. Eventually, an additional slot can be obtained by acquiring certain types of armor or completing engineering, research or experimental projects in the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters DLC, additional slots are added by equipping the Grenade Launcher which allows the player to equip a Smoke Grenade or Bomb in an additional grenade slot while an offensive grenade is equipped in the main grenade slot.
