World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Upgrades to items allow players to increase the gear score of an item up to 700, and then add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you bring them to the Kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their distinctive stats. (For example, a perfectly roll breakpoint armor is used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons don't really change after an upgrade and aren't worth it.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. Some weapons also come with a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a unit. This bonus could be greater than the damage that an upgrade alone can do.

The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity and level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

Upgrading weapons will also reroll their base stats. This is usually a good factor, but it could also have negative effects. Upgrades can render items unusable, unless you are extremely lucky.

Items of armor can also be upgraded to improve their performance. This can increase the base defense of a chest or helm as well as belts and gloves. These can boost their strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it may reduce its value.

The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats it will gain when upgraded and their respective values. This means that a change from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in a weapon receiving an attack damage of 3. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will be hit for 3 times less often, since it is an absolute statistic.

A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button, which is accompanied by circular arrows within the item upgrader kit menu. The item upgrader will be rerolled and change its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's level or bind to account status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make all the difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE increases in poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, making the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the more defense you can offer your character, the more health you can get from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.

To upgrade your armor, go to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains within the game and in order to unlock each fountain, you must complete an additional quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the primary side quest and have completed the fountain in question you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrade menu.

The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. In general, you're looking at anywhere between three Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the initial upgrade, then anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent upgrade. The Champion Leathers, for instance, can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which will allow you to keep up in cold environments with a large number of foes. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded as high as +20 defense, which means you can survive a raid with your comrades.

You can't upgrade your armor like weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor for physical strength or spell power. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

You can also get some advantages to your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll typically want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have some upgrades to the chest armor and helmets so that you can escape some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquid substances that, when consumed give the user a temporary status effect. There are five kinds of potions that have different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to increase their level of effectiveness. In addition, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust to them.

Upgrades to potion cost a certain amount of XP, which can be earned by making them on a crafting table or in an chest of the Alchemist. However, the upgrade price changes depending on what type of potion you want to upgrade, and also on the Item Upgrader Kit's Mark Level and rarity.

To upgrade a potion simply right-click on it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI that lets you select the potion you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they will give you when upgraded. The upgrade of potions can be completed in batches of up to five at a time, and the XP they provide will be added to your current XP level.

Once a potion is upgraded, it will not degrade in the event that you make use of it again or break the bottle within the container it is kept. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.

There were some changes to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. For instance the splash potions now have a duration of 0.08 seconds (this is not the equivalent of 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the item upgrader mod). The table for potion can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, as is the case with Java Edition. Additionally, using a potentio on a full cauldron drains the liquid and refills the bottle.

In addition, there are lingering potions that are made with dragon breath and splash potions. In the same way, a lingering potion' effect is extended by adding redstone to it. The table of potions has been rearranged to appear more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added like the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It could be a reference to an object or ornament that serves a purpose but is not particularly significant, such as a thimble. In some cultures, a trinket is a way to show affection or friendship between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. These can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Unlike other item upgrade upgrades trinkets, trinkets can be exchanged at will without losing their stats.

The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and in the capital of each zone, and in in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available using tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.

The upgrade of a trinket can be an affordable alternative to buying an entirely new one. One can upgrade their trinket for as little 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base level as the old trinket but will also have an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

Trinkets can be upgraded once they're not needed, allowing a player to boost their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players and are an attractive alternative to gold.

Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are upgraded first then their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment that won't replace anytime soon (such as rings or cloaks). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when deciding the items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for tank players and they want to upgrade their chest, helm, and shoulders.

Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level once they're no longer needed, and the new trinket will have an additional 1% upgrade bonus. A re-upgrade, however, can cause damage to the trinket unless it can be saved using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than buying a new one.
