WoW Upgrades - The item upgrader kit Upgrader

Upgrades can give you an increase in certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by +3. A random additional substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and can be accessed at any time to upgrade your gear. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up-to-date.

The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. For example, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points purchasing a similar piece from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for various currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any tool, weapon, or armor. The button will display the item upgrades's next level of upgrade, in the event that there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item and the current level of the item, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for example. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Certain upgrades provide a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain level and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currencies.

Item upgraders can be found in many places including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount and a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases depending on the amount of items that are being upgraded. It is also possible to be boosted by having players complete specific achievements or complete quests.

In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no item upgrader available in the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that are available to facilitate upgrades require several methods, which is both an improvement but also a drawback.

In Season 3 the upgrade system has been modified a bit, and several new features added. When a player has an upgrade items to a certain item upgrader kit level for a particular armor slot, upgrading additional items to that same item level will be less expensive, even when they are part of another set of gear.

The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is cut also, but is only available once certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

Players have a number of options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. They can make use of Flightstones which are a general upgrade currency available to all players, or crests, which are more specific and consumed during upgrades at specific levels of items. Crests are a crucial element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.

The first thing to be aware of is that crests are only able to be used to purchase equipment of a particular rank, and that each rank has different requirements for upgrading. The simplest and simplest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade can require up to 20 crests, based on the kind of equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by working through content that is of the appropriate level, which involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, dungeons or raids of any difficulty for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for gear that is used in the endgame. These crests can be exchanged with an item upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and routes.

The new currency system isn't complicated to use, but it does bring some changes to the process of upgrading. For instance, when a piece of equipment reaches the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible ilvl on all of their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests only have one purpose, so it's important to use them wisely. For instance it's a good idea make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the Best item upgrader equipment available and save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning on making. This is especially true for items like rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character which can only be eligible to take advantage of the discount for all accounts when all of the slots are full of high-quality gear.
