Top best rated robot vacuum Robot Vacuums

A robot vacuum will keep your floors clean enough to cut down on the frequency of hoovering manually. Look for one that offers good navigation, can sweep corners and stairs and has a huge dust bin that needs emptying only every few times.

You can also find models that clean and charge on their own, a feature that may be essential for those who have pets or kids. A lot of the top performers in our tests also offer decent obstacle-avoiding capabilities.

1. Roomba iRobot i3+ from iRobot EVO

The i3+ EVO is identical to its sibling i3 EVO. They differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying capabilities. That makes the i3+ an excellent option for those looking for an entirely automated vacuum cleaner, hands-free cleaning experience, but don't mind manually emptying their robot's dustbin when it is full.

Both robots are proficient at picking up surface dirt on hard floors and carpets and can navigate around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates intelligent maps of your home that aid the i3+ EVO to navigate and clean in a manner that maximizes efficiency. However unlike the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we test the i3+ does not have obstacle-avoidance capabilities which means it can get stuck on things like power cords or socks, and may have issues navigating across surface transitions, such as from hardwood to rug.

iRobot suggests that you clean the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or other clutter it might encounter. Also, keep the filters and dust bin clean to prevent them from becoming clogged. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station and automatically empties the dirt into the station's dust bin. It then continues cleaning from where it began. The i3+ EVO's battery lasts for approximately an hour and a half of continuous use, and takes around three hours to fully recharge.

2. iRobot i7+ Roomba

The iRobot i7+ is a top model from iRobot’s flagship line, and it comes with the most recent features. It's self-charging and self-navigating. the most crucial feature of all -- it has self-emptying bins that eliminate one of the most important sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.

The Roomba i7+ is able to remember up to 10 floor plans and their names thanks to Imprint Smart Mapping, a system that lets it map rooms so it can clean them more efficiently. It also integrates with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning jobs and control your robot vacuum cleaner on sale using voice or via the app.

In our testing the i7+ performed faster and more maneuverable than our runner-up and the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surfaces types, including carpeting. The biggest advantage over the Eufy is the self-emptying bin which removes major maintenance sources and reduces the cost of maintenance.

We were also amazed by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning sessions and move around the room and vacuum an area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward using the iRobot Home app. After being connected, to give voice commands to the i7+, such as "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and monitoring performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is a sports car that is amidst a sea of vacuums powered by cordless that resemble minivans and buses. It is powerful enough to replace a stand-up vacuum in the majority of homes, but also small enough to fit on the bookcase or coffee table.

The V10 is powered with a Lithium-ion battery with 7 cells of energy that can provide power that is not fading for 60 minutes. Its sophisticated whole-machine filtration system captures allergens and expels clean air back into your home. The cleaning head is specially designed to drive bristles made of nylon that are stiff into carpet to collect large dust and crumbs. It comes with three suction modes to match the task at hand. It quickly converts from handheld to floor vacuum and back.

The model also comes with an accessory dock that can charge to 100% in 3.5 hours and offers easy access to two attachments as well as a wand clip. This is a major improvement over previous Dysons which require a long charge and are difficult to store.

The biggest issue with the V10 is its limited run time. Its claims on the market that it can provide up to 60 minutes of run time are misleading as CR's tests have shown. This is a standard battery-powered vacuum's run time. This is enough time to vacuum the typical home but not enough to reach every spot. (A second run generally works). This model has its own advantages however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than earlier Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is noticeably superior on low-pile floor carpet.

4. iRobot Roomba 694

The 694 is a basic robot vacuum that's a great choice for those who don't have a lot of money to invest in an expensive best inexpensive robot vacuum. It was able to pick up all kinds of debris and sizes in our tests and would often go over the same area many times for a thorough clean. The flat front of the unit allows to get into corners and along the walls' edges and walls, which is a nice addition.

Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt technology to avoid obstacles and navigate your home. However, it isn't equipped with the ability to map that is found in more advanced models, including our Top Rated Robot Vacuum picks, the i3+EVO and J7+ Series. It can get stuck on phone cords or furniture and often runs out of power before returning to its original location.

The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in many ways because it has fewer components that require regular maintenance It also comes with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, incurs lower costs for recurring maintenance, has more advanced automation capabilities and is more efficient in maneuvering itself. It also has a larger dustbin and is charged faster.

The eufy RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 for most reasons, since it has a better battery life, the ability to change the suction power mode by hand and has physical boundary strips, and can be controlled by your smartphone's voice assistant. It also feels more sturdy and has a more powerful motor, and works better on both bare floors and carpets with a low pile, as well as providing a wider array of automation options.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

Samsung is a household name in the field of home electronics. It's no surprise, then, that they are one of the top makers of robot vacuums and mop. Jet Bot AI+ has a cutting-edge onboard technology for navigation and obstacle avoidance.

The app gives you plenty of options to personalize your robotic vacuum cleaner deals cleaner, such as virtual barriers mopping water levels, behavior adjustments docking frequency settings and much more. It's easy to comprehend and is user-friendly, which is the case with other Samsung devices.

In our tests our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and dealt with dog hair (on carpet) quite well, cleaning up 86% of it. However, it wasn't particularly well at avoiding higher-up objects like cords or socks, which was disappointing. It's also a little more expensive than the other models we've tested and could be a deal-breaker for some buyers.

The smart vacuum comes with an onboard camera that can be accessed through the app. You can also set up a live stream from the robot's cleaning station. This feature allows you to monitor your pets or children while you are away. The filter and the dust bin can be washed for quick, easy cleanup. The Jet Bot AI+ comes with self-emptying clean stations, which helps keep the robot's bin clear and improves suction power.

6. Black & Decker Robot Vacuum

Black and Decker robots are designed specifically for hard flooring. They have an extra wide cleaning path, as well as dust bins that are 2X larger than the competition. This allows them to clean the area for a longer period of time. Additionally, they come with two side sweepers to clean along edges and in corners. The POWERSERIES Extreme model also comes with AutoSense technology, which detects the presence of dirt on surfaces or embedded dirt and automatically adjusts the power level. It also includes a smart application that lets you view the virtual map, and control the functions and schedules. Additionally, you can track the battery's status and send it back to its dock to charge at the push of a button. The app allows you to modify the LEDs on the top of the vacuum to determine where it is focused or if it has gotten stuck.

The app allows you to steer the robot manually, if necessary. For instance, my living room rug has a darkly colored border that can trip up some of the other robots I've tried. The HRV 425BL, however, continued to move across the border without ever registering the cliff. Also, the ability to set up the weekly cleaning schedule is a fantastic time-saving feature.
