Upgrades can boost the stats of a piece and sometimes even its extras. The value of these upgrade is determined by the gear's tiers, their requirements, and how many random augmentations are made available.

For instance, the top racial shield Razortail is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorb capability in PvP, or to add additional defenses to missile-based builds in PvM. This makes it more tradable over the original version that is not upgraded.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens let you buy a new item, such as a weapon, armor or ring. The item is replaced by another of the same kind and comes with different benefits. Reroll tokens can be a cost-effective method of upgrading gear. They don't preserve the original item's level, and any resources wasted aren't rewarded.

The surviving players can acquire reroll tokens in several ways, including through the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They are also available in crates and chests, or purchase them at the market for $150 each. To upgrade equipment players must first identify the appropriate item, and then click the "level up" button. This will show a list of the item's level, and what it will be after being leveled-up. It will also display the amount of Growth Stones required to do so. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue) rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor requires only one Growth Stone.

After deciding on what to upgrade, players must select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the appropriate cost.
