The majority of robot vacuums and mops can be customized with an app that can save maps of your home as well as set cleaning schedules and select mopping modes. You can also alter the suction power, and how much water your mop uses.
A mapping function will help your robot cleaner navigate through rooms. A feature to avoid obstacles helps it avoid running over wires, furniture or even stray toys. These are essential features for my house, filled with toys that are scattered about.
1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the flagship vacuum of the company and mop, comes packed with features. It can mop and sweep in a single session and can lift its brushes and mop pads to prevent soft surfaces from getting too wet. It also can avoid obstacles by finding pet toys, plants and other small objects.
The robot vacuum has a maximum suction power of 6,000 pascals which is higher than any other robot cleaner vacuum we've tested to date. It also has PreciSense LiDAR Navigation, which tracks its location, preventing it from getting stuck on a surface.
Mopping capabilities are also impressive and features the S8 Pro Ultra able to apply a constant pressure of 6 Newtons to the mop pad to provide deep cleaning. It also comes with an automatic mop lifting system which will lift the pad when it transitions from laminate to tile, hardwood to carpet and rugs to avoid the possibility of soaking these soft surfaces.
The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing, and self-drying features. The pad can be used for rinsing and drying in the dock. The dust bin will automatically empty and return to the dock. You can set it to forget about it. You will only need to refill the water tank, or replace the dust bag occasionally.
All this is powered by a lithium-ion battery of 5,200mAh. I used it on its normal vac and mop settings for approximately 160 minutes before the S8 Pro Ultra started to be power-deficient and returned to its base to recharge. This is within the range of the 180-minute time that Roborock claims and is comparable with other hybrids that I've tested.
It's a complete and robust product, with its only downsides being the fact that it's expensive. But, the sheer number of features makes it a very appealing choice for anyone looking to ditch their old stick vacuums and mops. If you can justify the hefty price tag, we highly recommend checking this one out.
2. Dreametech L10S Ultra
The Dreametech L10S Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium combination. The high price is justified by the robust features, including a large vacuuming capability and two gyrating mop heads. It also comes with a smart, app-enabled controller and powerful obstacle avoidance technology.
The L10S Ultra has a retail price of 999 Euros which is one of the highest robotic vacuum and mop combos on the market. In my tests, it performed very well across the house. It removed 98.4 percent of debris from any type of floor and was able to lift hair that was long without getting caught in. The mops also performed admirably and produced excellent results for cleaning with less effort than many mid-range models. This was thanks to their rotational movement as well as an effective dose of cleaning solution.
However, the L10S Ultra's most significant selling point is its advanced multi-functional docking station. The dock emptys its dust bin into dirt bag, then refills its water tank to enable the mopping function and even dry its mop pads for you. It also comes with an in-real-time system for detecting hazards and lets you schedule regular cleaning sessions using its smart controls.
Unlike the other hybrid vacuum mops I've test and compared, the L10S Ultra doesn't offer advanced debris pickup performance on carpets. In addition the mops aren't adept at removing staining that is as strong as those in the premium Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
Despite the L10S Ultra's numerous premium features, it requires regular care and maintenance. Its base station needs to be cleaned out as well as the water tank and dust bag must be emptied, cleaned and dried on a regular basis to avoid mildew and unpleasant odors. It is also important to remember that the mop pads, which are purchased separately, are required to be replaced regularly too.
With the L10S Ultra's pricey cost and robust features, I would recommend it to anyone who has the budget for it. If you're looking to save money I would suggest a less basic model that allows you to save money and enjoy hands-free cleaning in your home. Even if the L10S Ultra was the best vacuum and robotic mop you could buy however, its cost and constant maintenance would make it more an item to have than one that you actually need.
3. Eufy S1 Pro
Eufy S1 Pro is the robot vacuum and mop you need to clean up messes and clean dirt off your floors. This high-powered mop and robovac combo packs a strong suction power of 8,000 Pa, an impressively large battery capacity to power both vacuuming and mowing and a top-of-the-line obstacle avoidance. It has a mop with a roller that cleans itself, making it stand out from other models which require you to return to the base station to wash the mop pad.
The S1 Pro uses a unique mopping system that is a major contrast to the microfiber pads and spinning discs of other robots. The roller covers the entire width of the robot and is constantly dosed with ozonated, clean water from its dock. When it turns the roller scrubs your floors while soaking up dirt, and any dry debris is removed by the side brushes or swept into the front colision bumper. The S1 Pro then takes the mop water into its base station which is then sucked up by the tank's heating elements before being dumped into a larger storage bin. The tank onboard holds a decent amount of water, and can handle a half dozen mopping sessions before running dry.
Like many robotic vacuums and mop sets The S1 Pro is ready to roll out of the box. The S1 Pro needs to be refilled with clean water. This can be done in the cleaning dock. If you'd like to make use of your own cleaner you can add a cleaning solution to the dock. However, if you do select this option, you'll need to purchase the branded cleaning solution from Eufy which is more expensive than other robot brands that permit you to use your personal choice of cleaners.
Like most robots like it, the S1 Pro did well in navigation efficiency and coverage evaluations. It was quick to map the area and was able to navigate around furniture. It was stuck on carpets with larger piles several times during my tests. However, this could be improved by updating the software. The S1 Pro is an all-in-one robot that offers many functions at a an affordable price.
4. Roborock Qrevo
The Qrevo is Roborock's entry-level mop and vacuum however it has some impressive features. The multi-function dock emptys the robot's dirtbag, and refills its water tanks, as well as washing and sanitizing mop pads as it moves. The mopping system is capable of cleaning a good robot vacuum bit of a space before it has to return to its dock, and the vacuum's extreme suction is capable of picking up debris and pet hair on carpets.
The app that runs the appliance is complex, and offers various options to customize the cleaning process. You can set it up manually to start a full map and take care to clean everything that is mapped by the device, or you can choose specific rooms, expandable zones, or even a schedule you've set up. There are several mopping options, including SmartPlan -an algorithm that makes use of the sensors of the mops to find the most efficient way to clean your home while it maps the space.
The Qrevo did well in our tests, like the other Roborock models we've test. Its navigation system performs well in locating rooms quickly and cleaning them in a well-organized manner. The default pathing setting is excellent at covering a space, with no major gaps or missing areas. Reactive Tech's hazard avoidance function works well, but it is not as advanced as color camera systems on the Qrevo Master and the S8 Pro Ultra. It can identify hazards such as thick carpets however it won't always recognize smaller things like rug tassels or electrical wires.
The most obvious flaw with this machine is the lack of a mop after vacuum option, which could be an issue for those who spend a lot of time vacuuming before cleaning with their robot. Thankfully, there's an easy solution: the app offers an option to "clean up" at the end of every vacuuming session. This lets you utilize the vacuum's mopping capability to eliminate the last remnants of debris and dust that you've left behind from your vacuuming. It's a nice feature and can help this robot get rid of a bit better than its less expensive competitors.
