1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The i3+ EVO and its sibling the i3 EVO, are identical robots that differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying features. The i3+ is a great option for those who want an entirely automated, hands-free cleaning experience, but want to manually empty the dust bin after it has filled up.
Both robots are adept at removing surface dirt on carpets and hard floors and are able to maneuver around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software makes a smart map of your home to assist the i3+ to navigate and clean efficiently. The i3+ does not have obstacle avoidance capabilities like the i7+ or other top-rated robots we have tested. It may get stuck on power cords or socks and have trouble moving between different surfaces, like carpet and hardwood.
iRobot recommends clearing areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, including clearing out any toys or clutter it may come across. It is also recommended to keep the dustbin and filters clear to avoid becoming clogged. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station and automatically empties the dirt into the station's external dustbin. Then it continues cleaning where it started. The battery's life span is approximately an hour-and-a-half of continuous use. It takes three hours to fully charge.
2. iRobot i7+ Roomba
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model in the iRobot flagship line, and it comes with all the latest features. It's self-charging and self-navigating. the most crucial feature of all -- it has self-emptying bins that eliminate one of the most important sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.
The Roomba I7+ can make rooms more efficient maps using Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and remote control vacuum cleaner your robot using voice or through the app.
The i7+ is quicker and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, though the dust bin is self-emptying, which eliminates a major source of maintenance and lowers the cost of maintenance.
We were also impressed with the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot vacuum black friday on how to begin, stop, or pause cleaning sessions, as well as to move around the room and to vacuum a particular area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward through the iRobot Home app. Once connected, to voice commands to the i7+ like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options for managing the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
In a world filled with vacuums that are cordless and feel like minivans or buses, this tiny Dyson model is an automobile. It has the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum in the majority of households, but it also fits perfectly next to the table for a coffee or shelves where you can wave it around like a magic tool.
The V10 is powered by a 7-cell high-energy lithium-ion battery that can provide fade-free power for 60 minutes. Its sophisticated whole-machine filtration system removes allergens, and then releases clean air back into your home. The specialized head uses rigid nylon bristles to drive deep into carpets, and then pick up large crumbs or fine dust. It comes with three suction modes to suit the task at hand. It swiftly switches from handheld vacuum to floor vacuum robot vacuum and back.
The model also comes with a dock that charges to 100% in about 3.5 hours and provides an easy access to two attachments and the wand clip. This is a big improvement over earlier Dysons, which require a lengthy charge and are difficult to store.
The V10's biggest drawback is its short run time. The tests conducted by CR show that its claims to run up to 60 minutes are not true. This is an average, not an exceptional, run time for a battery-powered cordless vac. It's enough time to sweep the typical home, but not enough to reach every spot. (A second pass is usually sufficient). This model has its own advantages, however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models, and its vacuuming ability is noticeable superior for carpet floors with low pile.
4. iRobot Roomba 694
One of the most well-known robot vacuums The 694 is a basic model that's an excellent option for those who don't want to invest too much on a robot. It was able to pick up the majority of types of debris in our tests and would often go over the same area several times for an extensive clean. Its flat front end helps to get into corners and along the walls' edges, which is a nice touch.
Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate your home, but it isn't equipped with the mapping capability of more advanced models like our top picks such as the i3+ EVO and j7+ series. This means that it may get stuck on things like phone cords and furniture that isn't in good condition, and frequently runs out of battery power before making it back to its base.
The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways to the Roomba 694 in that it has less parts that require regular cleaning, comes with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtering system, incurs lower cost of recurring costs and has more advanced automation abilities and is better able to move itself. It also has a larger dustbin and is charged faster.
The elegant RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 for a variety of purposes, because it has a longer battery life, can change the suction power mode by hand and has physical boundary strips, and can be operated by your phone's voice assistant. It's also more durable, has a stronger motor, and can perform better on floors with low pile and bare.

In our testing our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and dealt with dog hair (on carpet) quite well, cleaning up 86 percent of it. It was not as successful in avoiding taller objects like cords or socks. This was disappointing. It's also a bit more expensive than some of the other models we tested which could be a problem for some shoppers.
The smart vacuum comes with an onboard camera that can be accessed through the app, and you can also create a live stream from the robot's cleaning station. This feature allows you to check in on pets or children when you're away from home. The filter and the dust bin can be cleaned to make cleanup quick and easy. The Jet Bot AI+ comes with self-emptying clean stations, which helps to keep the bin clean and optimizes suction power.
6. Black & Decker Robot Vacuum
Contrary to other Robotic Vacuum Cleaner Deals vacuums which are designed for both carpets and hard floors, Black and Decker robots are designed specifically for hard floors. They have a wider cleaning path and a larger dust bin that can hold 2X more debris than other models to keep the cleaning area clean for the longest time. They also come with two side sweepers that can be used to clean along edges and corners. The POWERSERIES model comes with AutoSense, which automatically adjusts the power level according to whether it's cleaning up dirt that is on the surface or embedded. It also has a smart app that lets you view the virtual map, and control functions and schedules. You can also check the vacuum's status and send it to its dock for charging at the press of a single button. The app also allows you to personalize the LED lights on top of the vacuum using different colors, so you can easily tell what areas it's focusing on or where it's gotten stuck.
The app makes it possible to manually steer the robot, if necessary. For instance my living room rug has a darkly-colored border that can trip up some of the other robots I've tested. However the HRV 425BL continued to move across the border without registering it as an incline. The ability to program weekly cleaning schedules is a great time-saving convenience.
