1. Roomba Q5 pro
The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive cousin the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums that we have test. They are equipped with motors that are top of the line and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. Like other iRobots with premium features (including the top model), they use smart mapping to create detailed floorplans and avoid household obstacles such as cords and furniture leg. They also feature a feature called carpet boost that boosts the robot's performance when it detects a lot of dirt on the carpet to get it cleaned quickly.
The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored excellently in our tests on floors that were bare, and they are particularly adept at cleaning hair from dogs. However, they do have a few flaws however, which prevent them from being our first option. For one, the Q5's navigation system does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance, so it's prone to getting hung up on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate tightly packed rooms very well in our tests. It also doesn't have a camera to see around corners.
Still, it's very good, especially if you want to save money on a Roomba from iRobot, and you have a mostly bare-floor home or office. Additionally, it's quiet and can be used when you're at work or school. The only thing it lacks that you don't get in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming of floors with no floor. It's also less effective when it comes to mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't stick very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 does have an auto-emptying dock, however. If you want to, you can swap the mopping pad for dry ones in just a few seconds.

It did a great cleaning job on various floors and rooms with different kinds of flooring, including certain area rug. Its obstacle detection was superb and it stayed clear of fake dog turds and socks, shoes and bundles of cables.
It's a bit more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however, it comes with superior suction, a dustbin on board that automatically empties into its base, and it supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can clean the floor even after it has vacuumed. This is a feature that we haven't seen on other robotic autonomous vacuum/mop combinations.

It's also a bit expensive, but it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are equally capable and more attractive. If you're willing to put up some more volume and some extra cost it's a powerful two-in-one that will delight most.
