The best robotic mop and vacuum Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on robot vacuum with mop vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers are ideal for those who want to eliminate mopping from their to-do lists. They have impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking to buy a Robot Vacuums That Mop vacuum that also mops then this is the model to go for. It is smaller than other options which makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners or under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 minutes if cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery halfway through a clean.

It's quick and does a great job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one pass. Its 8,000pa motor is able to clean dirt as well as pet hair and poop easily. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the double side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by a lot. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when getting into narrow corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be employed to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tried. It doesn't produce the same amount of noise while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform its mopping function and is separate from the vacuum. It is simple to install and performs well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum solely to mop, you will need to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase a highly effective, versatile and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device comes with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and locate furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean efficiently and effectively. This will ensure an even and thorough clean, while also being relatively fast.

In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach an array of surface areas. This includes corners or baseboards, as well as other difficult-to-access spots. They also come with a stretchy side brush that can be extended to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. In addition the mop pads can be dried and washed to avoid build-up and lessen the odors.

Another feature worth mentioning is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the strength of suction and choose between a back-andforth, or a more randomized pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also turn off the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and carpets.

This device is expensive however it has many useful features. It's important to keep in mind that it has regular costs in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For instance the brushroll should be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every one to three months.

This robotic vacuum cleaner is a top Amazon rating and includes many physical automation features. It has the power button that serves as a general "Clean button, as well as a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after completing its cleaning task. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank and washes and drys its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home tidy without spending too much time doing chores. It is a powerful machine with smart navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home tidy with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, that is, it can do mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two modules that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module which has microfiber pads. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming might seem a bit outdated but they're a good thing because you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refueling the tank with water.

Our testers discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature is its precise floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of picking up pet hair. It was able capture a large amount of hair that our cats shed, and even was able to get into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was relatively quiet and even had some lovely jingles to let you know when it was beginning or finishing its work.

The app was too simple and you had to alter the modules each time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app can't hold multiple maps, which can be a hassle when you live in a house with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want an intelligent robot that is capable of mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it has certain unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its huge dock which doubles as the robot vacuums with mop's charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning and the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.

The base also comes with a set of control buttons that allow you to start a cleaning job and then recall the robot cleaner with mop or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a great feature for parents worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni could sometimes get so entangled with obstacles, like a power cord draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you manually free it. Although this is not a common occurrence but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert on its application.

Another potential downside is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad apparatus. It's a huge difference from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an excellent choice for a market dominated by clunky boxes.
