WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boosts in certain statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item upgrades level upgrade (church-tarp-2.blogbright.net) by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

Upgraded gear generally sees higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade items the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.

The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current item level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment from other sources. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased from NPCs of item upgraders in a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon or armor. The button will display the preview of an item upgrades's next upgrade level if there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot of the item upgrades and the current item level. For example, weapons will cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item upgrade is upgraded to a certain amount, it can be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currency types.

Upgraders for items can be found in many places on the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon as well as the chance to obtain an entirely new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.

In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no item upgrader available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are only accessible through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit as well as a disadvantage.

In Season 3 the upgrade system was modified a bit, and several new features added. After a player has earned an upgrade to a certain level for an item in an armor slot, upgrading additional items to that same item level will be less expensive, even in the event that they are part of an entirely different set of gear.

The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players have reached certain achievement milestones.

Crests

Players have a number of options when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.

First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is that is of a particular rank. Each rank has an upgrade path that is different. The simplest and simplest upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the most complicated requires as many as 20 crests depending on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by completing content of the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and performing outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, raids or dungeons with all difficulty for items of higher tier, or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses for gear that is used in the endgame. The crests can later be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade routes and steps.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, however it brings some modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest level possible for all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

Another notable change is that crests only have one usage and it's crucial to use them wisely. For instance it's a good idea make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests with the best gear you have available, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan to make. This is especially relevant for trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character which will only be able to avail the account-wide discount when all of the slots are full of high-quality equipment.
