The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. It's easy to understand why it has received the highest praise from its customers. It is extremely light with the chassis and wheels weigh only 6.5kg. It's extremely easy to put together. In fact I was able get the whole thing up and running in less than five minutes, which is impressive considering it included the tying of the fabric to the carrycot!

The seat is wide and comfortable for Annie, who is just 12 months old. The recline lever was easy to use. The basket is spacious with plenty of space, and I am impressed that the handle bar has pockets to keep your phone and keys safe.

The handlebar is low, which may be an issue for parents who are taller. However, it's coated in a gorgeous leather-like material that is soft and comfortable, and it wipes down easily, making it still easy to push even with bags and children on your hands!

I tried it out alongside my two kids - one a toddler and another eight-week-old - on rocky pavements along woodland paths, grassy trails and even cobblestones.

The large puncture-proof wheels, which measure 22cm or 30cm in size - can handle various terrains. They also come with an easy flap that opens or closes to let more air to circulate when you require it, which is a nice touch. It's a bit bigger than some pushchairs but does not feel heavy or bulky when you push it across bumpy surfaces.

The seat fabric is machine washable and the faux leather grips and frame are easy to clean. It's also quieter than other pushchairs, and I felt comfortable in the urban streets. Another benefit is that it has integrated accessory points. This means you can put in footmuffs, parasols, changing bags, and even a tray for snacks. You can also use the hood to block wind and rain, although it's not particularly waterproof.
