Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet mess in one time, without having to switch between devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bins, refill their water tank, and wash their mopping pads using an appropriate dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has plenty to offer at a low cost, and it's one of the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and a quick-start guide will have you running with a clean, full dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.

The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops spin at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app which lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.

For instance, you can request the robot vacuums with mop to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models can't. Its only minor issue is that it tends to hit objects and walls at a high speed, but just a glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.

A handy LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance tasks are required like emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank using a 600ml bottle of the eufy's solution.

Both the S1 Pro automatic vacuum and mop and mop come with plenty of running time and the mop is capable of operating for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in standard mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is simple to use and intuitive that lets you look at every aspect of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's most popular robot vacuum and mop. Unlike last year's model, this one features a double agitator in its mopping pad which greatly improves carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that enables it to pull up finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.

Like the two other Roborock models I've tested it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that can help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining if they are walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its path and clean around them without skipping a beat.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching, and it only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also resumes the cleaning, a mop button that doubles as a child lock, and a home-button to take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml of water tank. The water tank will empty itself, and the bin is auto-filling.

The only negative I discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to remove the mount for washing manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these through the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll need to jump through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its innovative design lets you to personalize and efficiently clean while reducing time.

The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the best automatic vacuum cleaner alternatives available. Additionally the X40 is quiet in it's operation, producing only occasional bursts of noise when switching modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.

Another standout characteristic is the X40's extendable and liftable side brushes, which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners as well as clean curved furniture like table and chair legs. It also lets the robot vacuums best to get under low-profile furniture which makes it a great option for smaller apartments and condos with limited space. The side brush automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots, which is a nice feature that helps the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by repeated back-andforth movements.

Unlike other robots, which are restricted to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas, and vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is intuitive and simple to use and the X40's clever features are a breeze to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, look at floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it is finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many features that make it an excellent option for busy families. The docking station automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads and refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It also can detect if the mop pad is at its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation prior to it bursting.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive models available however, it comes with numerous extra features that distinguish it from. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature on its mop, utilizes two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can clean pet hair and other small dirt particles - in addition to removing spills and wet spots.

The mop mops are cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is a fantastic feature since it prevents the build-up of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. It's a system that has yet to be seen on other robot vacuum and mop models, and it could be a useful way of keeping your home clean for longer.

There are many options, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app or there are direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and offers a variety of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also has a number of features that aren't offered on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen in the market, with metallic and white colors that is elegant and stylish. It's a little heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list - at 4kg however it's not overly heavy, and it feels sturdy and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors as well as in corners. They can even extend up to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
