The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances. His focus is on robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. These multitaskers are a great choice for those who want to cross mopping off the to-do list. They are equipped with impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance, and they can even wash and refill their mopping pads for a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to choose if you want an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list which makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.

It is very quick and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in one go. The suction motor's 8,000pa is quick at picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets, and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, but not by a lot. The mop rotates at a high velocity and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is useful when getting into tight corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to pick up larger pieces of debris, like books and broken toys.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've used. It doesn't make the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for its mopping function and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and performs well, but this is something that you'll have to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for an extremely efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device has an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the home and identify furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean efficiently and efficiently. This will result in a thorough, consistent clean which is also relatively fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other hard to reach spots. They also come with a stretchy side brush that can be extended to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. In addition, the mop pads can be washed and dried to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce the smell.

Another notable feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction level and select a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also deactivate the side brush in order to prevent damage to carpets and carpets.

It's expensive, but it comes with a lot of smart features. It's crucial to keep in mind that it has recurring costs, such as mopping supplies and maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad needs to be replaced every three to six months.

This robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and includes a broad range of physical automation features. The vacuum also has an power button that doubles as a 'Clean' button' and a 'Home button that allows it to go back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multifunctional dock which automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and wash and drys its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home neat without spending too much time on chores. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation and long battery life allow you to maintain a clean house with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two components, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping unit that is equipped with microfiber pads. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may appear a bit dated but they're a good thing because you don't have to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its accurate map of your floorplan, which it uses to determine the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of collecting hair of pets. It was able to capture an enormous amount of hair shed by our cats and even found its way into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low and there were lovely jingles that signal that it was starting and working towards its goal.

The app was too simple and you had to switch the modules every time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't store multiple maps, which could be a hassle if you have a home with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that can be found in our review, but it comes with some unique features that make it worth a look. The X1 Omni's main draw is its huge dock which doubles as a charging base and the housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning and an automatic vacuum cleaner and mop 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.

The base has a few control buttons, which allow you to manually begin a cleaning task or recall the robot vacuum with mop, or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are concerned about their children messing around with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognising objects.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it gets caught in a blockage, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It will not work until you remove it manually. While it was not common but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen, especially since the X1 Omni doesn't have an "stuck" status alert in its app.

Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad however, the mopping pad isn't washed or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad apparatus. It's a huge contrast to the basic black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for an industry dominated by boxy models.
