Boosters
There are a myriad of enhancements that can be obtained with an upgrader. These could include stats as well as bonus bonuses. These bonuses can be used on armor, weapons and trinkets. They can be used to boost the capabilities of a character, or give a new dimension of variety to their character.
The upgrade system in World of Warcraft allows players to upgrade the quality of their gear by paying currency at an Best item upgrader upgrader NPC. This system was first introduced in Mists of Pandaria, and continued with Warlords of Draenor. It's a great method to boost the level of your gear, allowing you to skip the tedious grind of questing and avoiding many wipes in Mythicand dungeons.
When an item is upgraded its type of base changes. The upgrade of a normal item creates an Exceptional item while upgrading an item that is Exceptional will result in an Elite version of the base item. The item will be able to keep all of its prior upgrade statistics, but will also gain an additional benefit from its new base type. This bonus is randomly chosen. It could be a weapon that has an increased damage range, a faster reloading speed, or an increased max defense roll.
The number of upgrades you perform will determine the amount of extras you get. Each upgrade boosts the additional benefits by a factor of one up to a maximum of three. Each upgrade will also boost the stats in the main menu by +1.
In addition to the stat boosts, some upgrades will also provide a random boost. These boosts are important and should be considered when deciding what items to upgrade. Certain boosts can only be used in certain builds (such the Whistan's Shield in FB Sorcs) Some are beneficial to collectors.
Some items have a built-in boos which is less useful when upgraded. For example, the Goldwrap offers an additional potion slots. These are often upgraded to add more value to a nearly perfect item.
Costs
There are a few expenses associated with item upgrades. The first is the cost to perform the upgrade. It can be costly and depends on the new ilvl of the item and the number of perks it gets. Upgrades to higher levels (such as Explorer to Champion or Veteran to Heroic) are costly.
The second is the cost of materials needed for an upgrade. The items used for upgrades are usually either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21and up) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable through completing specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). The quantity of these items required can be seen in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.
Upgrades to an item are a complex process that requires time. It can take up to 8 hours, depending on the size of an upgrade. The upgraded item's base stats are calculated based on the new ilvl of the item bonus, perks, as well as other properties. This calculation determines the new Armor Class bonuses, damage dice, and other important stats. In certain cases an upgrade may grant additional benefits. These perks are listed in a list.
Rarely, the new benefits acquired will cost more than one perk slot In these cases the upgrade will replace the most expensive perks. Occasionally, the upgrader will make other changes to an item, such as changing the damage type of a weapon or or removing an unwieldy or operational property. These modifications are based on the item's ilvl, and may require special materials, such as adamantine.
Success Rate
The basis for upgrading items is the chance of success, and as with any random system, there is the possibility that the upgrade won't succeed. There are several methods to increase your odds of success. These include the use of an Item upgrader Mod called an Upgrade Pity or the addition of additional components to the upgrade.
The Upgrade Pity can be bought from the NPC for smithing in Lost Ark. It increases the odds of a successful upgrade by some percentage. It is similar to the luck bonus that some items have but is more stable. This can be added to any weapon or armor and can be used three times.
You can also add additional materials to the upgrade to increase the chance of success. These materials are displayed in a separate window above the + button. There are a few limitations. The maximum amount of material you can add is displayed directly above the + button.
Another method to increase the chance of an upgrade succeeding is to use the item upgrading known as a Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item is helpful when you own a weapon or piece of equipment that is at the highest level for its tier or is close to it. This item allows you to upgrade the equipment to the next tier without the risk of it breaking.
If an upgrade fails, the system will be returned to its original condition. This is typically an error, but it could also be an upgrade. You should save an upgrade until you reach the highest level for an item.
Kafra has a range of products that can be utilized to increase the chances of a successful upgrade.
