Why Nobody Cares About Best Twin Buggy
The Best Twin Buggy
This inline double is designed to expand with your family. It has multiple seating options that are suitable for twins or children of different ages. Its foam-filled tires never flatten, and the soft suspension is perfect for kerbs.
It folds flat and is in compliance with the weight requirements of airlines gate-checks making it easy to carry around. It also includes a large under-seat storage basket, and an all-weather sun canopy with four panels.
Leclerc Influencer
With its sleek design, auto-fold and cabin approved dimensions the Leclerc Influencer is an excellent choice for travelers. Its folded (and unfurled) width is 47cm. It is slightly bigger than the IATA standard 45cm. However, it still conforms to the hand luggage requirements of airlines. It can be stored in overhead lockers on flights (subject to approval by the airline). It was easy to clean using a cloth and there were a variety of extras such as nappy bags, footmuffs, and buggie organiser bags that clip onto handles, and hoods with UV50+ protection.
We love the fact it's so small when folded down, and how it can easily fit into tiny spaces like shops narrow alleyways and Jane's tiny terrace and is even easy to move up and down the stairs. The bumper bar doubles up as a handle for carrying and there's a large, flip-flop friendly brake that has a color indicator. The basket is smaller than the other models, but it can still accommodate a large changing bag. There are also tray compartments to store drinks, snacks and toys.
It is suitable from birth. The adaptors are available separately to be used in conjunction with a Leclerc Baby Carrycot. For older children there's a backrest that flattens, making it ideal for naps or long walks. The 5-point harness with magnets is simple to use. It's also super light at just 6.6kg and includes the travel bag.
Joie Evalite Duo
The British brand Joie has a mission to "share happiness with parents who are expecting" by creating pushchairs that are "functional, stylish and innovative". The Evalite Duo, their latest twin buggy, is Joie's most recent product. It's designed to take two children side by side in contrast to the slightly heavier Aire Twin, and has elevated seating that allows both children can view the world around them.
The Evalite Duo weighs just under 10kg and is one of most lightweight strollers for kids on the market. It's suitable from birth and can be used with Joie car seats or carrycots (with the Instant Sure Lock attachment). It's easy to drive or ride, lift, and fold and the frame expands to fit the second seat.
Out 'n' About say the one-handed fold is a highlight of the Evalite Duo, and they were impressed with how quickly and easily it can be put together. However, they did observe that it's more difficult to navigate bumps and rough terrain than some other models.
The front seat does not fully recline, and parents needed to use their hands to lower it. This is something they'd prefer to avoid when traveling with children. The Evalite Duo, however, is a fantastic stroller that could be improved with a few adjustments. They love the compact size when folded.
iCandy Peach
iCandy Peach is a highly-sophisticated tandem buggy that provides parents with all the options they need. It is compatible with a variety of car seats and folds up easily using a one-click mechanism. It comes with a range of extras, including liners and raincovers. Other brands charge separately for these.
iCandy's Peach pushchair is a popular choice for parents who are fashion-conscious due to its fashionable and modern premium jersey fabrics. This new 2022 Peach is updated with a few minor tweaks to enhance the performance and function, without compromising aesthetics.
The addition of a ride on board makes this the ideal option for twins. It's also a bit more compact than older Peach model, yet it still provides all terrain double stroller the space your children could need.
This is the perfect double stroller for you for those who want something sleek and adaptable. You can use it as a single pram from birth and then buy a double kit to turn it into a twin stroller. It also comes with a large basket and 5 reclining positions to ensure maximum comfort for your children. It also features a single-handed fold as well as an integrated carry strap. It can be a bit bulky to store, especially because it folds in two pieces instead of one.
iCandy Orange
This is the most comfortable twin buggy on the market. The seats can be fitted with liners and footmuffs to keep your children warm during cold winter months. The carrycot is easy to attach using the gate-opening side flaps. It is spacious and comfortable. Orange chassis allows for 30 different combinations of the seat and carrycot.
The wheels are built to handle rough terrain and pavements. There is also an enormous shopping basket that's ideal for supermarkets with large sizes. The pushchair is lightweight double pushchair and easy to drive. The rounded pedal brake makes it simple to use, but it's not suitable for flip-flops. It's not the easiest one to fold, and the latch that keeps it folded needs two hands to unlock. Once it's collapsed the front wheels slide under the basket and the chassis can free-stand with ease.
The Orange is ideal for parents who are fashion-conscious and have a baby or toddler and need a buggy that will be able to grow with the child. It's a great option for parents who anticipate an additional child in the near future and want a double travel buggy pushchair double that is flexible. The iCandy Orange is not cheap but it's flexible enough that it's likely to last some time and also offer a decent resale value as well. It also comes with buggy boards, which can aid in reducing sibling rivalries over seats!
Mountain Buggy Duet
Mountain Buggy, founded by a New Zealander and part of the Mokopuna Group that also owns Phil and Teds and Baby Jogger, is the first pram manufacturer that focuses on two all-terrain pushchairs. The Duet side-by-side twin stroller is sleek and slim, able to fit through doorways and maneuver well through narrow aisles of shopping. It is among the smallest, most feature-packed double buggy newborn (additional reading) buggies on the market and has won many awards, including 2014 Mother & Baby Twin Gold and 2015 Prima Baby Twin Silver.
Its narrow seats are spacious enough for children of different age groups to comfortably sit together and the seats are independently reclineable so kids can choose their preferred position. The large canopies come with flick-out sun visors and the storage basket is very roomy. It is compatible with two infant car seats when you buy of car seat adapters. It is compatible with almost all brands, which is a huge plus.
The only issue is the weight. It is hefty at 32.4 pounds and could be difficult to lift into and out of the trunk for Grandma. It is also more expensive than other side-by-side double stroller with bassinet buggies. But, it's designed to last and offers many features for the price. It is a great choice for urban parents who wish to avoid lugging a heavy stroller around. And, the padded harnesses and 5-point buckle ensure safety for babies.
Bugaboo Donkey twin
The Bugaboo Donkey Twin is a beautiful, functional buggy with a classy design. It's a top-quality product, however, it's not without flaws.
For one, it offers very little in the way of additional conveniences for the kids and the parents. There's a small side bin beside the seat that's only usable when one seat is attached and that's the only thing it has. There aren't any parent trays cup holders, cups or accessory pockets, and this could cause problems when you travel for a long time.
The seats aren't able to recline to a completely flat position, and the space between them is quite wide and our 5-year-old experienced difficulty lying back comfortably. It's a shame given that this is a high-end vehicle.
It's easy to move, and the swivel wheel is great for climbing up stairs and slopes. It's also small enough to pass through most doors and folds down quickly for easy storage and transport. It can be switched to mono mode in only three clicks, should you require more space or a quick escape. The comfort wheeled board can accommodate a third kid if required. It's pricey, however when you're on a tight budget, there are other options out there. It's worth it though if you're a fan of the brand and have money to spend.
