World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

The upgrading of your items is an essential aspect of equipping your character. Upgrades increase the damage of your item and enchantments.

They also offer rewards and upgrades. They are available from the Blacksmith.

Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Each recycled item adds one level to the upgrade gauge.

Weapons

When a weapon is upgraded, it gets a base damage bonus, as well as an adjustment factor that affects other stats. Certain upgrade components come with aesthetic effects while others give additional benefits. These upgrades can be put into weapons, armor, trinkets and gathering tools, and most require the equipment to have an available upgrade slot and meet certain requirements. If a weapon piece has an upgrade component in it, it can be replaced with another but the prior upgrade will be destroyed (except for legendary equipment and upgrades). Upgrade components can be retrieved with the help of a Black-Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool, or using a high-tier salvage tool on the Item upgrader kit it self.

In addition to the basic upgrades, a weapon can be upgraded by adding the Calibration Attribute which improves certain stats, such as Weakspot Damage or Crit Rate. This can be done via the Gear Workbench interaction menu. Based on the tier of the weapon, this can be done up to four times.

Once the weapon is at the maximum level of upgrade item, it may be reforged with a number of different upgrade types to boost specific stats or to add bonuses and effects. Many of these upgrades can be applied at once, and the effects are based on the quality of the weapon.

There are two Blacksmiths in the game that can perform these upgrades: Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area as well as Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. Both upgrade materials differ: Smithing Stones to modify the damage a weapon deals and Somber Smithing Stones to modify standard weapons.

In general, it's Best item upgrade to upgrade your weapon damage first. Then, you can upgrade your armor defense, and then, the secondary stats that are required by your build. It is not unusual to see melee Druids upgrade their weapon before upgrading any other gear. This can help increase DPS. This is particularly applicable to enchantments, which can be extremely effective in boosting the weapon's damage and other stats.

Armor

Item upgrades allow players to enhance the base stats of certain armor pieces, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools. These upgrades may also have additional effects like increased damage or cosmetic enhancements. Item Upgrades can be obtained through crafting, buying from NPC vendors, in loot drops or as quest rewards.

The armor can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC and spending appropriate currencies. In the majority of cases the armor will be upgraded to next level after an upgrade is applied. This is the case for most types of armor, but certain types of armor cannot be upgraded in any way (such as the armor that is used as a starter in Great Sky Island).

The majority of armor upgrades boost the item upgrader's defense or strength by only a tiny amount. However, certain upgrade components can give significant enhancements to defense or strength, particularly when upgrading an epic item.

Certain upgrades offer specific abilities that can be activated when wearing armor. These abilities can be useful in combat, for instance giving a boost to attack speed or blocking. Certain upgrades also have passive effects, like reducing the amount of damage taken while wearing armor or adding the chance to avoid attacks.

Upgrades to armor may require several attempts, depending on the type. For instance the case of a player wanting to upgrade the strength of a Steelclash armor to Dragonscale, the first attempt will result in a brand new piece of Dragonscale with a base defense between the ages of 59-67. The second attempt would result in a new Dragonscale armor that has the base defense between 67 and 77 and the list goes on.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild allows players to upgrade their armor sets up to level 4. To do so, they must visit each of the four locations known as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each of these locations is home to an incredibly powerful fairy who can upgrade a piece of armor for the player.

Contrary to popular belief, armor is not useless in The Division 2. Some armors offer a significant boost in the reduction of the damage caused by poison or curse, magic or fire. This makes them very useful for certain builds. There are other ways to boost the stats of armor besides upgrading the armor, like using the engineer trait to increase armor penetrating or the challenger trait to decrease the total weight.

Potion

A potion can be upgraded by putting it in the brewing stand to unlock new effects. The upgrade unlocks a new level of potion effects, and can be repeated for more tiers of potency.

The potions also get a custom color, which can be selected by the player using the /give. The color affects the effect clouds' area-of-effect as well as the arrows that are generated. In Bedrock Edition, the custom color code of the potion is also applied to the potions' particle effects.

The water bottle, the mundane thick and awkward potions now have a fresh brewing texture. In the Creative Inventory, potion healing and potion weakness are now available. In addition, there are lingering potions which can be brewed by using Dragon breath or splash potions. Additionally, there is a potent potion that has the status effect Mining Fatigue. Bug Tracker is the place to report issues relating to this patch.

Trinket

A trinket is a small inexpensive piece of jewelry. This can be a necklace, ring, or even a small flag to mark a boat's lateen yard. This can also refers to a gilded trinket that is connected to the mast of a vessel.

This macabre trinket seems to be influencing the residents of this maze, making them more common. At the moment it makes all kinds of mimic Xx more popular, and gives each floor an X% chance to have an ebony-colored mimic. This trinket requires a small amount of energy to upgrade.

The magic of the enchanted Scepter appears to influence the dungeon and increase the likelihood of generating water and grass. At its current level, this trinket will make X% of floors become filled with water or grass but doesn't affect enchantments or glyphs, cursed weapons or armor, or items generated to help solve hazard rooms.

The item, which appears like a newt's eyes, seems to affect your vision in a manner that goes beyond just reducing your field-of-view. This trinket, in its current level, boosts the health benefits of drinking healing potion and wells of life by X% and also gives mind sight to enemies within Y tile. This trinket does not stack with the Higher Senses.

You can upgrade your Trinkets in the Alchemy Station by placing them into a Magical Catalyst. It will cost you 6 energy, however it will increase the trinkets power by a tiny amount.
