Path of Exile Item Upgrades
Upgrades to items are a common and essential way to boost the performance of many items in Path of Exile. They can be a good source of additional damage, more AD or even more attachments.
Sometimes, however, upgraded Common and Magic gear is beaten out by Rare-grade equipment due to their requirements.
Armor
Armor upgrades can be applied to both armor and weapon items. They improve the stats of whatever item upgrader mod; Check Out Glamorouslengths, they are attached to. Armor upgrades can be found in the world of games and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at bonfires. Additionally, they can be salvaged from items with upgrade components inside them, using an expert or greater salvage kit.
The amount of damage that a piece of armor or weapon will absorb is contingent on the extent of its upgrades. The upgrade of an armor piece to its highest upgrade level will boost the damage it absorbs. Jewels

The Jeweler can create all tiers of gems, except for the rare and legendary ones that require a certain level to get. In contrast to other upgrade components, jewels can be swapped out with a jewel of the same kind without damaging it. You are able to replace the jewel once in an item of equipment.
