However, the seats have to be facing forwards, and there's no space for a shopping bag underneath and you'll need a sidepack to do this.

Mountain Buggy Duet will be an ideal choice If you like off-road driving. It's a side-by-side with the slimmest footprint of any double buggy available on the market. This allows it to fit through narrow doors and on public transport, and also allows you to go up and down kerbs without much trouble. The UPPAbaby vista 2 double is another lightweight option that is suitable for twins or a toddler and baby. The seats have a multi-position reclining with UPF 50+ sunshades. The canopy can be adjusted so that the sun doesn't reach your child's eyes. The iCandy Orange double buggies are among the most well-known available. This is due to their superb comfort. It's an all-terrain model with a soft suspension that is able to handle bumpy surfaces. It comes with 30 different seating options and a built-in board for older children who prefer to walk, and a 'cinema mode that raises the back seat for better visibility.

The phil&teds dots are brilliant single buggys that are easily modified to accommodate two (or three!) different configurations. This is especially useful when you have a child in a car seat, as the frame can be equipped with a wedgie for optimum lying flat, or car seat adapters to a wider range of brands.

Suspension

The suspension of a triple wheeled buggy will determine the ease with which you and your child/children can push it. A smooth ride is essential as babies can feel every bump in the road, especially when it's on rough terrain such as grass or dirt roads. Certain models come with locking front tires to assist in maneuvering and getting over obstacles like curbs.

Certain models come with air-filled tyres that are great for all-terrain riding, however they can be prone punctures. Be sure to keep a spare set of tyres in the trunk. Certain models come with gel-filled or foam-filled tyres that are designed to absorb bumps. They can be less likely to puncture, but they might be uncomfortable for your child if they decide to jog.

Folding

A 3 wheel double buggy can fold quite easily to be stored. There are models that fold flat and stand up (as when they were in a pushchair) and also ones that pop out to reveal more of an umbrella-like fold that has an electric brake. The more wheels a buggy is equipped with, in general, the easier it is to maneuver through rough terrain. This is especially true when the wheels are larger than average. This will give you more stability and decrease the likelihood that your children will tip or flip over.

It also has a spacious undercarriage basket, an adjustable handlebar and soft suspension for comfortable riding.

It's a lightweight and compact option that folds in one hand and is perfect for traveling. It's compatible with a variety of infant car seats, and it includes a handy undercarriage bag to store items. It's a bit on the expensive side, but it does have several notable features that make it an excellent price, including its simple one-click fold, and lots of extras like a bumper bar and raincover.

For something a little different you can choose the Joie Evalite Duo is a light buggy that can hold twins from birth (it's world-facing and has the ability to lie flat). Its clever frame expands to accommodate an extra seat, but it weighs only 11kg. This makes it simple to lift and maneuver. It can be used with a car seat, carrycot, or both. This allows you to have the best of both worlds.
