WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the item level by +3. A random additional substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.
The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as useful for those with higher variance due to the need to roll the perfect version.
Recycle Points
The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to the enchantments.
You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up-to-date.
Upgrades will cost more depending on the item level, however, they are always cheaper than buying new equipment. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are functional items which can be used to upgrade weapons and tools, armor and accessories. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor with the help of The button will display the preview of an item's next level of upgrade item, when there are enough materials.
The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item and current item upgrader kit level, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests that are used. Once an item is upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currency types.
Many locations have upgraders for their items which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon and a chance to obtain an entirely new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.
Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no item level upgrade (you can try bookmarkspot.win) upgrader available at the start of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades require several methods that are both an improvement and a drawback.
In Season 3, many new features were added to the upgrade system. After a player has upgraded to a specific level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This is true even if the items come from an entirely different set of equipment.
The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is reduced too, but it is only available when certain milestones have been reached.
Crests
When upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a variety of choices. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade items. Crests are more specific and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.
The first thing to be aware of is that crests can only be used on equipment that is of a particular rank, and that each rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, depending on the type or gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through completing content of the appropriate level, which involves walking around and performing outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, raids or dungeons with all difficulties for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for endgame gear. These crests can then be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.
The use of these currencies isn't too difficult, but the system will introduce a few modifications to the upgrade process. For instance, when an item upgrade is at the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This is to allow players to get their gear up to the highest ilvl possible for all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.
Another significant change is that crests have one use therefore it's essential to make use of them in a responsible manner. For instance, it's best to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the top equipment you have and then save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you plan to create. This is particularly applicable to items like trinkets and rings that fill multiple slots. The discount for the entire account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
