Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can boost the stats of a piece and sometimes even its extras. The value of these upgrade is determined by the gear's tiers, their requirements, and how many random augmentations are made available.
For instance, the top racial shield Razortail is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorb capability in PvP, or to add additional defenses to missile-based builds in PvM. This makes it more tradable over the original version that is not upgraded.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens let you buy a new item, such as a weapon, armor or ring. The item is replaced by another of the same kind and comes with different benefits. Reroll tokens can be a cost-effective method of upgrading gear. They don't preserve the original item's level, and any resources wasted aren't rewarded.
The surviving players can acquire reroll tokens in several ways, including through the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They are also available in crates and chests, or purchase them at the market for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attribute of an item, for example increasing the damage it can cause.
Players can roll equipment in three aspects: physical power, spell power and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage done by weapons and melee attacks, while spell power upgrades rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades give the player additional health.
There are three types of Reroll tokens: upgrade, rare, and legendary. Each of these upgrades the item to a higher quality. To make them, you require a higher-quality reroll token. Enhanced upgrades require a common item, while rare upgrades require a unique or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
The marker that rerolls, unlike special tokens or markers placed on action spaces remains on the space till the next Success is to be rerolled. This is a way to prevent the waste of upgrades.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase, and are opened by grabbing them using Interact. Once they are open they show a complete description and an icon for the corresponding Appliance or Ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged to purchase a new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's shop for the amount of coins.
In the end, you can move blueprints between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a game. This affects which blueprints the restaurant's shop sells for rerolls and which are available in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
Weapons, armor, and accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that can increase an item's level by increasing its stats and abilities. Players can find these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell them for a price. These stones are also available to players who sign daily contracts.
To upgrade equipment players must first identify the appropriate item, and then click the "level up" button. This will show a list of the item's level, and what it will be after being leveled-up. It will also display the amount of Growth Stones required to do so. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue) rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor requires only one Growth Stone.
After deciding on what to upgrade, players must select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the appropriate cost. When the requirements are fulfilled, the player may then click on the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will raise the item's level by a specific percentage. Depending on the rarity of the item and rarity, the upgrade process could take between seconds and minutes.
The upgrade process also is risk-free and does not affect the item's longevity. This makes the system an excellent way for players to get an advantage in battle without putting stress on their bank accounts. Moreover, players can transfer the experience and the progress of an upgraded item to a new item by clicking the "transfer" tab.
The process of acquiring Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty is a daunting task for novice players. There are a variety of ways to acquire these stones, such as contract completion and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, collecting them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or getting them from the reward chests during the Ancient Arena season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.
Leveling
Leveling is an option that allows players to increase the stats of their weapons armor, helms, and trinkets. The Upgrade Station lets you combine an item with upgrade materials, and then pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The process will use up the upgrade materials and give the item an upgrade level, giving the item an additional boost in that area. This process can continue until the item reaches its highest level.
Items with upgraded stats will be displayed as a blue icon next to their slot. Contrary to enchantments upgrade components don't stack with one another, and can only be added to one item upgrades at one time. Furthermore each upgrade component will require a certain amount of items to be added in addition to an initial level for the equipment.
The Upgrade Station has two slots: the left is where players can put in equipment that needs to be upgraded, while the right shows a preview of what the gear will appear like when it reaches its next level. Once a player has enough materials, pressing the yellow arrow will initiate the upgrade process.
A piece of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Every time the item is upgraded, its stats will increase by a small amount. The highest level for an item is 19.
Once an item reaches its maximum capacity, it will no longer have the option to upgrade. Also, when an Best item upgrader reaches the level of a specific upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer) upgrades for the track will be offered at discounts.
Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that can be inserted into weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools to give an additional effect or benefit while the equipment is in use. They can be purchased through vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so could destroy the previous upgrade, except for glyphs which can be replaced and removed at any time.
Requirements
Items upgrades allow players to boost certain attributes of armor and weapons they already have. The requirements to upgrade an item vary depending on the type of item, but typically you'll need Dilithium as well as a few Upgrade Tokens (various options are available).
Items can be upgraded by adding item upgrade components to weapons and equipment. These will provide extra effects or an increased quality of the item. These upgrades can come from a variety of sources, such as crafting, buying from the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting from bosses and raids. Once an upgrade component has been placed into an object, it isn't able to be removed or replaced. However it is possible to swap glyphs freely.
Upgrades can increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity. In addition, some upgrade components have additional modifiers that can enhance the stats of the item.
The helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" for instance, increases defense base and provides an additional 20 percent chance to block. In addition the dps upgrade "Wildfire" boosts weapon damage.
Upgrades can be beneficial for some items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable for the players if they can get an exact roll. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for instance is highly coveted by melee PvP communities and can be worth as much as 20-50 times the non-upp’d version.
If you choose an upgrade component to slot into an item the game will show an open window that displays the necessary requirements. These include the item type (either Weapon or Armor) the tier of that item as well as the Upgrade Token required, as well as the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.
The game will place an Best item upgrade in your inventory when you've fulfilled the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will update to show you how close to getting the upgrade completed. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by going to any item upgrader NPC.
