WoW Upgrades - The item upgrader kit Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless the item is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as useful for those with lower requirements due to the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up to date.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item, but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new gear. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar Item Level Upgrade will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to level up weapons and tools, armor and other accessories. They are purchased by players from item upgrader NPCs in exchange for various currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool, or armor. The button will show the preview of an item's next upgrade level, when there are enough materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the slot of the item and the current level of the Best item upgrade and the weapon's price is higher than gloves or bracers for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Certain upgrades provide discounts on Flightstones. After an Best item upgrader has been upgraded to a certain amount, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

Upgraders for items are available in many places including the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount and the chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases with the number of items being upgraded, and can be boosted by having players complete specific achievements or complete quests.

Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no upgrader for items at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that can be used to upgrade must be acquired through several methods, which is both an improvement and a drawback.

In Season 3, a number of new features have been added to the upgrade system. After a player has upgraded to a certain item upgrader mod level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item level, will cost less. This is true regardless of whether the items are from a different set of equipment.

The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is available across all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is reduced also, but is only available once certain milestones are reached.

Crests

Players have a variety of choices when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are an integral component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.

The first thing to note is that crests are only able to be spent on equipment that is of a particular rank, and each rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and easiest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complex upgrade requires up to 20 crests, based on the type of equipment that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing tasks at the appropriate level. This could be done by engaging in outdoor activities or doing dungeons or raids in all difficulties to get equipment of lower tier or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with heroic difficulty for endgame gear. Crests can be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade routes and steps.

Utilizing these new currencies isn't too difficult however, the system does introduce some changes to the overall upgrade process. For example, once a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is intended to allow players to get their equipment up to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests have one purpose therefore it's essential to use them properly. It is Best item upgrade to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the highest-quality gear you can locate, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is especially applicable to items like rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The discount on the account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
