Boosters

There are a myriad of boosts available with an item upgrader. They can include a range of stats, as well as a number of extra bonuses. These bonuses can be utilized on armor, weapons, and trinkets. They can be used to boost a character's abilities or to add a new element of variety to their character.

The upgrade system in World of Warcraft allows players to upgrade the quality of their gear by paying currencies at an item upgrader mod upgrader NPC. The system was first introduced in Mists of Pandaria, and continued with Warlords of Draenor. It is a convenient way to increase the quality of your equipment, allowing you skip the tedious grind of questing and avoiding a bunch of wipes in Mythicand dungeons.

When an item is upgraded, its base type changes. Upgrading a normal item creates an Exceptional item upgrading while upgrading an item that is Exceptional will create an Elite version of the same base item. The item will keep all of its pre-upgrade statistics however, it will also receive an additional bonus due to its new base type. The bonus will be randomly selected from the following options: the chance to acquire a weapon with an increased damage range, a chance to obtain an improved reload speed, or a chance to acquire an improved defense roll.

The amount of extras that you gain when upgrading depends on the amount of upgrades completed. Each upgrade will increase the number of extras by up to 3 points. Additionally, each upgrade will also boost the main stat by one.

In addition to the stat increases certain upgrades can also provide a random boost. These boosts can be quite important and should be considered when deciding on which items to upgrade. Some items have an inherent boo, which is not beneficial when upgraded, for example the Goldwrap which provides additional slots for potion. They are often upgraded to add more value to a near-perfect or perfect item.

Costs

Upgrades have certain costs associated with them. The first is the cost to perform the upgrade. This cost can be expensive and is contingent on the new value of the item and the number perks it gains. It is also costly to upgrade an item to a better tier (such as Explorer > Champion, or Veteran > Heroic).

The second is the cost of the materials required to upgrade. The items used are typically either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21and up) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable by completing specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). These items can be found in the inventory of an Upgrade Vendor.

It takes time to upgrade an item. Based on the magnitude of the upgrade, it can take as long as 8 hours. This calculation determines the new Armor Class bonuses, damage dice, as well as other important statistics. In certain cases, the upgrade will grant additional advantages that can be picked from a list of available perks.

In rare instances, the upgrade will only replace the most expensive bonuses. Sometimes, the upgrader may make other changes to an item, for example, changing its weapon damage type or removing or adding an unwieldy or operational property. These changes are based on an item's ilvl, and may require special materials, such as the adamantine.

Success Rate

The basis for upgrading items is the chance of success, and as with any random system, there is the possibility that the upgrade won't be successful. However, there are a few factors which can improve the chance of success. This includes using an item dubbed an Upgrade Pity, or the addition of extra items to the upgrade.

The Upgrade Pity can be purchased from the NPC for the smithing process in Lost Ark. It increases the chance of an upgrade succeeding by some percentage. It is similar to the "luck bonus" that some items offer, but it is more secure. It can be added to any weapon or armor and is able to be used up to three times.
